Latest Update: Tata had showcased the red dark edition of the Safari at Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. We expect the Indian car maker to launch the Safari as well as Harrier red dark edition in the coming months. Presently you can buy the dark edition of both the SUVs.

Exterior & Design
Safari is currently the flagship model of Tata Motors. With the recent facelift, Tata has made the Safari even more distinguishable from Harrier. In the front, compared to the Harrier, the Safari comes with a thicker headlamp assembly with Safari badging embedded between the headlamp and fog lamp, a silver skid plate and a blacked out lower air dam.
In the rear, the connected full width taillamps of the Safari are a bit different from the Harrier. The rear too gets a silver skid plate. From the side profile, the Safari comes with 19 inch alloys in the top end trim and embedded Safari badging on the chrome part of the roof rail.
Interior & Features
Inside the cabin, the Safari gets all the features that the Harrier offers. Some of those are dual zone auto AC, front ventilated seats, power adjust driver seat, 10.25 inch fully digital drivers display, 12.29 inch touchscreen infotainment, multi colour ambient lighting, wireless charger, wireless android auto/apple car play, 10 speaker JBL audio system, electric parking brake with auto hold, Alexa support, 360 degree camera, powered tailgate with gesture operation, panoramic sunroof, rear window sunshades, etc.
In addition to the above mentioned features which are common between the Safari and Harrier, the Safari also offers ventilated rear captain seats, power adjust co driver seat, boss mode for co driver seat, ambient lighting on sunroof, 3 row seating, etc.
On the safety front, it offers active safety tech like level 2 ADAS with 1 camera + 3 radar configuration. It also, comes equipped with advanced ESP, traction control, hill hold, hill descent control, TPMS, all wheel disc brakes, roll over mitigation, brake disc wiping, etc. For passive safety, it offers up to 7 airbags and ISOFIX mounts.
Engine & Transmission
Tata Safari is only available in a single engine option i.e. a 2 litre Kryotec turbo diesel engine. It can be paired to either a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 6 speed torque converter automatic. The fiat sourced engine generates 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque.

Tata Safari is available in 7 different colours including a black/dark edition. Also, Tata offers 15 different variants of the Safari.
