Exterior & Design
Based on IMPACT 2.0 design language, Tata Punch gets SUV like stance due to black bumpers and all around thick cladding including on the wheel arch. In the front it gets dual barrel halogen headlamps with projectors for low beam and reflectors for high. On the rear, its LED taillamps are inspired from Tata's signature tri arrow pattern.
Interior & Features
On the features front, the Punch offers voice controlled single pane sunroof, auto climate control AC, rain sensing auto wipers, light sensing auto headlamps, iTPMS, 7 inch part digital instrument cluster, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment, 6 speaker JBL tuned audio setup, xpress cooling, reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, rear central arm rest, front seat central armrests, cruise control, etc.
Engine & Transmission
Tata offers just one engine option in Punch. Its the 1.2 litre naturally aspirated 3 cylinder Revotron petrol engine which comes mated to either 5 speed manual gearbox or 5 speed AMT automatic. The engine produces 88 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque.
Dimensions
Based on Tata's ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture, Punch measures 3,827 mm in length, 1,742 mm in width, 1,615 mm in height and 2,445 mm in wheelbase. Its ground clearance and water wading capacity stand at 187 mm and 370 mm respectively.
Variants & Colours
The customers of Tata Punch can choose from 7 different colours with or without dual tone option. The dual tone option comes with either white roof or black roof. Moreover, one can select from 4 variants and 6 different packs that are applicable for different variants.
Segment & Rivals
Being in the sub 4 meter micro SUV segment, the Tata Punch primarily rivals the likes of Hyundai Exter and Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Moreover, it also competes with compact SUVs like Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger to some extent.
