Introduction
Mahindra XUV700 is currently the flagship product from the Indian SUV maker. It is also set to come in electric avatar as XUV.e8 sometime around the end of this year or early next year.
Exterior and Design
For Mahindra, XUV700 is like the successor of XUV500. Although it gets new design elements, it still retains some of the Cheetah inspired design language that we saw on the XUV500. Some of them can be noticed in the headlamp unit, front grille, shoulder lines and front & rear fender lines.
Interior and Features
In the interior, the XUV700 scores way more points than XUV500 because of more premium, luxurious and soft touch materials and finishes. Moreover, it comes with a lot more advanced and futuristic tech and features like a connected 10.25 inch dual screen for infotainment & instrument cluster. Also, the dual zone auto AC with ventilated seats with wireless charger and wireless android auto/apple car play add to the premium appeal.
It is also a Global N-Cap certified 5 star vehicle with active safety tech like 7 airbags, ESP, traction control, etc. Moreover, it also offers radar + camera based level 2 ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, high beam assist, auto emergency braking, etc.
Engine and Transmission
Mahindra offers 2 engine options in XUV700. The 2 litre mStallion TGDi petrol engine offers 200 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque and comes paired with 6 speed manual gearbox or 6 speed torque converter auto gearbox. For the 2.2 litre mHawk CRDi turbo diesel engine, Mahindra offers 3 state of tunes i.e. first with 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of torque with only 6 speed manual gearbox, second with 185 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque with only 6 speed manual gearbox, and third with 185 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque with only 6 speed torque converter auto gearbox.

Being a 3 row (5, 6 or 7 seater options) SUV, XUV700 length stands at 4695 mm, its width stands at 1890 mm and its height stands at 1755 mm. Moreover, its wheelbase measures 2750 mm.

Mahindra XUV700 provides customers with 4 colour options for MX trim line and 5 colour options for AX (AdrenoX) trim line. Also, one can choose from 5 different variants, 1 in MX trim line and 4 in AX trim line. Moreover, customers can also choose from 5, 6 or 7 seats and front wheel drive or all wheel drive.
