Latest Update: Tata Altroz Racer was recently spotted undisguised without any camouflaged while being tested. According to latest media reports, Tata is expected to launch the high performance version of Altroz sometime in June 2024.
Tata has added ESC (Electronic Stability Control) in the Altroz as a standard safety feature. Recently, the auto maker also made the ESC standard in the Punch.

Key Highlights
Introduction
Altroz is Tata Motors offering in the premium hatchback segment that comes based on Tata's ALFA ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture). A surprising fact about the Altroz is that it was named after Albatross seabird. Similar to the broad wings of Albatross seabird, Altroz also gets 90 degree wide opening doors which is one of the major highlight of the ALFA ARC platform itself.
Exterior & Design
In the front, the Altroz gets sharp looking dual barrel headlamps with reflector type high beam and projector type low beam units. The fog lamps are uniquely placed just below the headlamps but higher than the lower air dam.
In the rear too, it gets sharp looking wrap around tail lamps with halogen setup instead of LEDs. Moreover, with half of the boot lid finished in black, the windshield looks seamlessly integrated to the boot lid. the rear bumper also gets integrated reflectors and rear fog lamp.
From the side profile, Tata Altroz looks dynamic and sporty. The c-pillar mounted rear door handles, shooting star like beltline and door mounted ORVMs give the Altroz an athletic like stance. Moreover, the 16 inch diamond cut dual tone alloys also add to the appeal of this premium hatchback.
Interior & Features
Tata Altroz comes loaded with a number of features like auto climate control AC, 7 inch part digital instrument cluster, tyre pressure monitoring system, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4 speaker + 4 tweeter Harman audio system, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, rear AC vents, wireless charger, voice controlled single pane sunroof, ambient lighting, 90 degree opening doors, etc.
For occupants safety, Altroz offers dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, corner stability control, brake sway control, ESP, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, etc.
Engine & Transmission
Tata offers multiple engine and gearbox combination with Altroz. It is available with a Revotron 1.2 litre 3 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.2 litre iTurbo turbocharged petrol engine, and 1.5 litre Revotorq turbocharged diesel engine. The NA petrol can be paired with a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed DCA (dual clutch automatic). The iTurbo petrol and the turbo diesel can only be paired with a 5 speed manual.
The NA petrol produces 88 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. The turbo petrol generates 110 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. The turbo diesel produces 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque.
One can also opt for the factory fitted iCNG with the 1.2 litre NA petrol engine and 5 speed manual gearbox. The power and torque figures in CNG mode stands at 73.5 PS and 103 Nm respectively.
Dimensions
It measures 3990 mm in length, 1755 mm in width, 1523 mm in height and 2501 mm in wheelbase. The boot space measures 345 litres. Moreover, the Altroz iCNG also gets a practical and usable boot space of 210 litres.

Customers can choose from 9 different variants of the Altroz. Also, there are 5 different colours available including a dark edition.
