Introduction
Nexon is Tata's most popular and highest selling model in India. The compact SUV is based on Tata's X1 platform, the same platform that underpins the Tiago, Tigor, and older Tata cars like Bolt, Zest, Indigo eCS, Indica Vista, etc.
Exterior & Design
First launched in 2017, the design of the Nexon was based on Tata's IMPACT Design philosophy. The 2020 facelifted Nexon came with IMPACT 2.0 Design philosophy. With the new 2023 Nexon, Tata has completely revamped the exterior design of the SUV. It now gets futuristic looking design with front & rear digital lights that come with dynamic swipe indicators along with welcome and goodbye animation. Moreover, the compact SUV also gets side air curtains in front and rear bumpers along with stylish looking aero efficient alloys.
Interior & Features
Inside the cabin, the new Nexon comes with ventilated front seats, height adjustable driver and co-driver seats, wireless phone charger, single pane voice controlled sunroof, paddle shifters, 10.25 inch fully digital & customizable instrument cluster, etc.
For passengers entertainment, the new Nexon offers 9 speaker JBL audio system, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment, Alexa integration, wireless android auto/apple carplay, etc.
On the safety front, the new Nexon comes with 6 airbags, ESP, traction control, hill hold, TPMS, brake disc wiping, roll over mitigation, auto dimming IRVM, 360 degree camera with rear blind view monitor, front & rear parking sensors, etc. Not to forget, the new Nexon now comes with 5 star Global NCAP safety rating for both adult and child occupant.
Engine and Transmission
Tata Nexon comes in two engine options. The first one being the Revotron 1.2 litre turbo petrol with 5 speed manual, 6 speed manual, 6 speed AMT or 7 speed DCA auto gearbox options. The second one is the Revotorq 1.5 litre diesel with either 6 speed manual or 6 speed AMT gearbox. The petrol engine produces 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel engine produces 115 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.

Tata Nexon is a front wheel drive compact SUV.
Dimensions
It measure 3,995 mm in length, 1,804 mm in width, 1,620 mm in height and 2,498 mm in wheelbase. Its ground clearance is still the segment best at 208 mm.

The customers of Tata Nexon can choose from 12 different variants or persona's (as Tata calls it). These include Smart, Smart +, Smart + S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative +, Creative + S, Fearless, Fearless S, Fearless + and Fearless + S. Also, there are 8 different colour options to choose from.
