Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the Xoom 125 sporty scooter at the EICMA 2023 . It gets an all-new 125cc engine, fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, 14-inch alloy wheels and segment sequential LED blinkers.
The scooter rides on a telescopic fork and single rear shock absorber, a disc up front and a drum at the rear. The expected launch date in India is April 2024 and the expected price range is ₹ 85,000 to ₹ 90,000 .
Introduction
Hero Xoom 125 is the latest offering from Hero MotoCorp in the 125cc scooter segment. It is based on the Xoom 110, but features a more aggressive and sporty design with a lot of cuts and creases. The scooter aims to attract young and urban riders who want a stylish and powerful scooter with advanced features.
Variant and Color
It will be available in three variants: LX, VX and ZX. The LX variant will be the base model with basic features, while the VX variant will offer some additional features like front disc brake, corner bending lights and digital speedometer.
The ZX variant be the top-end model with all the bells and whistles like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, diamond cut alloy wheels and sequential LED indicators.
The scooter will come in four color options: Polestar Blue, Pearl Silver White, Candy Red and Matte Black.
Engine and Power
It will be powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SI engine with a displacement of 125cc. The engine will be paired to a CVT automatic transmission for smooth and easy riding. The power and torque figures of the engine are yet to be revealed by Hero MotoCorp, but we expect them to be slightly higher than the Hero Maestro Edge 125, which produces 8.05 BHP and 8.70 Nm.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
The fuel efficiency of the Hero Xoom 125R is expected to be around 50 kmpl, which is similar to the Xoom 110. The scooter will have a fuel tank capacity of 5 litres, which will give it a decent range of around 250 km on a full tank.

This Scooter will come loaded with features that will make it stand out from the crowd. Some of the key features are:
- Full-LED lighting package, including signature H-shaped projector LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, LED position lamp and sequential LED indicators.
- Fully digital instrument cluster with real time mileage indicator, low fuel indicator, caller ID, SMS alert and service reminder.

The boot capacity of the Hero Xoom 125 is expected to be around 20 liters, which is enough to store a full-face helmet or other essentials.
Wheel Size and Weight
It will ride on 14-inch alloy wheels that will enhance its stability and handling. The wheel size will also give it a sporty stance and appeal. The tyre size of the scooter will be 90/90-14 for both front and rear. The weight of the scooter is expected to be around 110 kg (kerb), which is slightly heavier than the Xoom 110.
