Honda Scooters

The Honda Group is a Japanese multinational corporation that produces automobiles, motorcycles, power equipment and other products. The group was founded by Soichiro Honda in 1948 as Honda Motor Company, Ltd.

The company started producing motorcycles in 1949 and became the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer in 1959. Honda also entered the automobile industry in 1963 and became the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer in 2001.

Honda was the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to launch a dedicated luxury brand, Acura, in 1986. The Honda brand name is derived from the founder’s surname, which means “original rice field” in Japanese. The Honda Group has a global presence and operates in various segments such as mobility, environment, community and safety.
