Discover the latest Hero MotoCorp scooters, the Hero Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 Premium, unveiled at Hero World 2024.
Key Highlights:
Hero MotoCorp, the leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has introduced its latest offerings, the Hero Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 premium scooters, at the highly anticipated Hero World 2024 event held in India. Following their debut at EICMA 2023, these models mark Hero's ambitious foray into the premium scooter segment, promising a blend of style, performance, and innovation.
Alongside the Xoom 160, Hero introduces the Xoom 125R, a sportier iteration of its successful Xoom 110 model. Featuring striking design elements including 14-inch wheels and segment-first sequential LED turn indicators, the Xoom 125R exudes a dynamic persona. The scooter comes equipped with all-LED lighting and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, offering convenience and connectivity on the go.
Powered by a new 124.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the Xoom 125R delivers 9.4 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. Its telescopic fork at the front and single-sided shock at the rear ensure agile handling, while the combination of disc and drum brakes provides reliable stopping power. The scooter is expected to feature i3S start-stop technology for enhanced fuel efficiency, further bolstering its appeal in the competitive 125cc scooter segment.
With its larger wheels setting it apart from rivals like the TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125, and Suzuki Avenis 125, the Hero Xoom 125R promises a compelling blend of performance and practicality, catering to enthusiasts seeking a spirited riding experience.
The Hero Xoom 160 emerges as the flagship model in Hero's lineup, poised to redefine the adventure scooter segment. Boasting a distinctive design blending elements from conventional scooters and adventure bikes, the Xoom 160 exudes a commanding presence. Its tall front apron, twin LED headlamps, and a transparent visor accentuate its adventurous spirit, while the 14-inch alloy wheels wrapped in block-pattern tires ensure robust performance on various terrains. The scooter features a spine running along its length, enhancing its visual appeal and limited practicality. Additionally, the wide single-piece seat promises comfort during long rides.
Under the hood, the Xoom 160 is powered by a new 156cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to an automatic transmission. Equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and twin shocks at the rear, the scooter delivers a balanced and stable ride. Safety features include disc brakes with ABS at both ends, ensuring precise braking performance even in challenging conditions. Furthermore, the Xoom 160 offers advanced features such as all-LED lighting, smart key with remote ignition, digital console, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Priced at approximately Rs 1.34 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Hero Xoom 160 is set to compete with premium offerings like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR R160, offering a unique proposition in the adventure scooter segment.
Hero MotoCorp's unveiling of the Hero Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 at Hero World 2024 signifies the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in the two-wheeler segment. With their striking designs, advanced features, and impressive performance, these premium scooters are poised to captivate enthusiasts and set new benchmarks in their respective segments. Scheduled for release later this year, the Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 are set to redefine the standards of adventure and sporty commuting, reaffirming Hero MotoCorp's position as a trailblazer in the Indian automotive industry.
