Introduction
Tata Motors has launched the highly anticipated Curvv, unveiling the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) variant to the Indian market. The Curvv will directly compete with the Citroen Basalt. Distinguishing itself from the EV model, the Curvv ICE features a functional grille, a redesigned air dam, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Variant and Colour
The Curvv is offered in four personas: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished. There are total eight variants available: Smart, Pure +, Pure +S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished +A.
The color options for the Curvv include Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Flame, Opera Blue, Pure Grey, and Gold Essence.
Seating Capacity and Boot Space
The Curvv comfortably seats five passengers. The Tata Curvv stands out in its category with an impressive cargo capacity. Offering a segment-leading cargo volume of 500 litres, the Curvv delivers outstanding versatility for a vehicle in the compact SUV class. The roomy trunk elevates the vehicle's practicality giving it an edge over competing models in the compact SUV market.
Fuel Type and Mileage
Curvv features upgraded versions of the 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L diesel engines from the Tata Nexon. The petrol engine options include a new 1.2-liter GDi turbocharged petrol with 124 bhp and an existing 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol with 119 bhp. The diesel variant features a 1.5-litre Kyrotec engine with 117 bhp.
Transmission
The Curvv's ICE variants come with multiple transmission options, including a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCA) for both petrol and diesel variants. The Curvv is notably the first in its segment to offer a dual-clutch automatic with a diesel engine.
Safety Features
Safety is a top priority in the Curvv, which includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These features encompass adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Additional safety features include a 360-degree camera and multiple voice assistants for enhanced driver support.
Dashboard and Entertainment Features
The Curvv adopts a minimalist and tech-focused cabin design. Key interior features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, a premium audio system, and ventilated seats. A panoramic sunroof adds to the luxurious feel of the cabin.
