Latest Update: The Yamaha X-Max scooter is already available in select international markets, including Thailand, where it launched the updated version of the X-Max scooter at TBH 2,09,000 (approx Rs 4.07 lakh). Yamaha also launched XMax in Malaysia at a starting price of RM 24,498 (approx. Rs 4.35 lakh) last year. The two-wheeler brand aims to launch the Yamaha XMax series scooter in India, possibly during the festival season starting in October 2025.
While the launch of the new XMax scooters in India is expected, the specification details have not been confirmed by Yamaha. Based on sources and international products, it's expected that the upcoming Yamaha XMax scooter will feature a sharp and aggressive design. It will have fairly muscular attire, an LED light setup in front, and a large windscreen for a more stylish look.
The maxi-scooter can be powered by a 292cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine tuned to produce 27.2 bhp and 29 Nm of torque. There is also a 249.8cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine option available that delivers 22.4 bhp and 24.3 Nm of peak torque. The vehicle features a CVT gearbox that delivers power to the rear wheel via a belt drive system.
Yamaha provides a disc brake setup on both ends for enhanced control when riding on city roads. The suspension setup includes telescopic forks at the front and twin rear shock absorbers. Interestingly, the upcoming Yamaha scooter has a seat height of 780 mm, making it ideal for a broad range of customers.
In addition to a powerful engine, the Yamaha XMax packs a range of premium features like a 4.2-inch TFT LCD screen, Yamaha Y-connect app, and Garmin StreetCross app.
