Introduction
The CB500F is part of Honda's 500cc family that also includes the CBR500R and the CB500X. The CB500F is the naked version of the CBR500R, with a minimalistic design inspired by the CB1000R. The bike is aimed at riders who want a versatile and agile machine that can handle city traffic, highway cruising and occasional track days.
Variant and Color
The CB500F will be available in only one variant in India, with optional ABS. The bike will come in four color options: Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Pearl Metalloid White and Candy Caribbean Blue Sea.
Engine and Power
It is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine that delivers 47.5PS at 8600rpm and 43 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch for smooth shifts. The engine also features PGM-FI fuel injection and an ECU with revised settings for better throttle response.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 27 kmpl, which gives it a range of around 460 km on a full tank. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 17.1 litres, which is generous for its segment.

It will compete with other mid-sized naked bikes in the Indian market, such as the Benelli Leoncino 500, Kawasaki Z650, KTM Duke 390 and BMW G310R.
