Bajaj Auto has launched the new Freedom 125 CNG at Rs. 95,000 (ex-showroom, India). This innovative bike features a 125cc engine running on both petrol and CNG, aiming to reduce running costs by up to 50%, making it perfect for commuters.
Dual Fuel System
The Freedom 125 is designed for fuel efficiency, featuring a compact petrol tank and a CNG cylinder with a handlebar-mounted switch for fuel selection. The 2 kg CNG cylinder is positioned beneath the 2-litre petrol tank, each with separate filler nozzles.
Impressive Range and Fuel Economy
Bajaj claims an impressive range of 213 km on CNG alone, plus an additional 117 km from the petrol tank, providing a total range of 330 km.
Engine and Performance
The Freedom 125 is powered by a 125 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel injection system producing 9.4 bhp and 9.7 Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed gearbox, telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, and a braking system with a front disc and rear drum. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Color Range
Bajaj offers the Freedom 125 in five colors: Ebony Black, Caribbean Blue, Cyber White, Racing Red, and Pewter Grey.
Design and Features
The Freedom 125 features a modern retro design with a round headlamp with DRL, a flat seat, wide handlebar, and center-set foot pegs. The CNG tank is compactly integrated into a trellis chassis for safety. A semi-digital instrument console provides essential information, including a CNG low-level alert and neutral gear indicator. Other features include a digital speedometer and Bluetooth connectivity.

While unique in its CNG offering, the Freedom 125 competes in the broader 125 cc segment against the Hero Glamour, TVS Raider 125, and Hero Xtreme 125R.
