Introduction
The Nissan Magnite is a subcompact crossover SUV that was first unveiled in October 2020 & launched in India on 2nd December, 2020. The Magnite is an entry-level offering under Nissan’s SUV lineup derived from two combinations of words, “magnetic” & “ignite.” The Magnite was initially developed for the Datsun brand as a flagship model but was later transitioned into Nissan due to Datsun’s discontinuation plans. The SUV is built on the CMF-A platform, which shares its underpinnings with models like the Renault Triber and Kiger. The recent facelift brings a lot to the overall package in terms of manoeuvrability as well as practicality.

The Magnite can be availed under 2 engine variants. The 1.0L naturally aspirated engine, which is suitable for driving in urban surroundings, focuses on fuel efficiency with a mileage of about 18.75 km/l. The 1.0L turbocharged variant offers more power and quicker acceleration with an approximate mileage of 20 km/l. The turbocharged option is best suited for driving through highways and longer distances.
Safety
The standard safety features in the Magnite include dual airbags for both the passengers and driver, ABS with EBD, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Magnite also receives additional features like blind-spot detection and front collision warning in higher trims.

The Magnite flaunts compact dimensions that are perfect for urban environments. The length measures up to 3994 mm and 1758 mm in width with a height of 1572 mm. The wheelbase spans up to 2500 mm and features a boot capacity of 336 litres.
