Introduction
Skoda Auto India has unveiled its latest compact SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, designed for the Indian market. Built on the same platform as the Kushaq and Slavia, this sub-4-meter SUV offers competitive pricing, starting at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variants
The Skoda Kylaq will offer multiple trims, each with various features to cater to diverse customer needs. Bookings open on December 2, with the complete variant list and pricing expected at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
Colours
This SUV will be available in five different colours: Olive Gold, Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, and Candy White.
Exterior
The Kylaq features a bold, boxy look with Skoda’s signature butterfly grille and split headlights that align with its Modern-Solid design language. Low overhangs enhance its compact, urban-friendly appeal, while 17-inch alloy wheels are available on higher trims.
Engine and Power
Powering the Kylaq is a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which it shares with the Slavia and Kushaq. The engine pairs with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels for balanced performance.
Interior Features
The interior of the Kylaq offers a spacious, comfortable cabin with options for single-tone or dual-tone colour schemes. Key interior highlights include:
- Seating: Six-way motorised front seats with ventilation (in select trims)
- Electric Sunroof: Available in select variants
- Cruise Control: Available on select trims
- Leatherette Seats: Optional on higher trims
- Boot Capacity: 446 litres, expandable to 1,265 litres with rear seats folded
Infotainment and Technology
The Kylaq’s technology setup includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An eight-inch digital cockpit displays essential driver information such as speed, tire pressure, and cruise control settings.
