The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a new motorcycle launched by Hero MotoCorp in India in December 2021. It is an upgraded version of the Hero Xtreme 160R that was launched in July 2020. The new model features a four-valve engine, a new exhaust system, and a revised instrument cluster.
Introduction
It is a sporty commuter bike that offers a blend of performance, style, and comfort. It is designed to appeal to young and urban riders who want a fun and agile bike for daily use. The bike has a sharp and aggressive look, with LED headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators, a sculpted fuel tank, and a split seat.
Variant and Color
This bike is available in two variants: single disc and dual disc. The single disc variant has a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, while the dual disc variant has disc brakes on both wheels. The bike comes in three color options: Pearl Silver White, Sports Red, and Panther Black.
Engine and Power
It is powered by a 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 15.3 PS of power at 8500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and features fuel injection, four valves, and an oil cooler. The bike has a top speed of 115 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 4.7 seconds.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
They claimed fuel efficiency of 55 kmpl, which is slightly lower than the previous model due to the increased power output. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters, which gives it a range of around 660 km on a full tank.
Features
It has several features that enhance its functionality and convenience. It has a fully digital instrument cluster that displays speed, rpm, fuel level, trip meter, odometer, clock, service reminder, and gear position indicator. It also has a side stand engine cut-off switch, an engine kill switch, hazard lights, and an integrated pillion grab rail.

It has alloy wheels that measure 17 inches in diameter. The front wheel has a tire size of 100/80-17 and the rear wheel has a tire size of 130/70-R17. The bike has a kerb weight of 139 kg for the single disc variant and 140 kg for the dual disc variant. The bike has a wheelbase of 1327 mm and a ground clearance of 167 mm.
