The Hero HF Deluxe is one of the most popular commuter bikes in India. It has recently been updated with a BS6-compliant engine and new features. The BS6 model is available in four variants – kick-start with spoke wheels, kick-start with alloy wheels, self-start with alloy wheels and self-start with i3S technology. The i3S variant is the most expensive one and comes with an idle start-stop system that helps in saving fuel. The BS6 model also gets new graphics and colours.

Variant and Color
It is available in four variants – kick-start with spoke wheels, kick-start with alloy wheels, self-start with alloy wheels and self-start with i3S technology. The price range of the bike is from Rs. 56,194 to Rs. 68,164 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The bike comes in 11 colours – Techno Blue, Heavy Grey with Green, Black with Purple, Black with Red, Heavy Grey with Black, Candy Blazing Red, Black with Silver, Boon Silver Metallic, Classy Maroon Metallic, Cloud Silver and Cool Mint Green.
Engine and Power
It is powered by a 97.2 cc air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that complies with the BS6 emission norms. The engine features advanced programmed fuel injection and XSens technology that adjusts the air-fuel mixture according to the riding conditions.
The engine delivers 7.9 bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is smooth and refined and offers good acceleration and pickup.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
It is known for its high fuel efficiency and low maintenance cost. The bike has a user reported mileage of 65 kmpl, which makes it one of the most economical bikes in its segment. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 9.6 litres, which gives it a decent range of over 600 km on a full tank.

- Digital-analog instrument cluster that displays speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, service reminder and i3S indicator
- Halogen headlamp that provides good illumination at night

- i3S technology that automatically switches off the engine when the bike is idle for more than five seconds and restarts it when the clutch is pressed
- Side stand engine cut-off that prevents the bike from moving unless the side stand is up
- Engine cut-off at fall that ensures the safety of the rider by cutting off the engine in case of a fall
Wheel Size and Weight
It has a wheelbase of 1235 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm. The bike has a seat height of 805 mm and a kerb weight of 110 kg (kick) or 112 kg (self).
The bike has 18-inch wheels with tubeless tyres that provide good grip and stability on different road surfaces. The tyre size is 2.75 x 18 - 4PR/42P for the front tyre and 2.75 x 18 - 6PR/48P for the rear tyre.
