Latest Update
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is one of the upcoming motorcycles from the iconic Indian brand that will use its 650cc parallel-twin engine platform. The bike is expected to launch in India in 2024, and it will be a retro-styled cruiser with a classic design and modern features.
Introduction
Bullet 650 will be based on the existing Bullet 350, which is one of the oldest and most popular models from the company. The Bullet 650 will retain the round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, curvy fenders, single-piece seat, and peashooter exhaust of the 350cc version, but it will also get a twin-sided exhaust and a fender-mounted taillight. The bike will aim to offer a comfortable and relaxed riding experience with a tall handlebar and a low seat height.
Variant and Color
This motorcycle will be available in only one variant, which will come with standard features such as a semi-digital console, halogen headlamp, wire-spoke wheels, tube-type tyres, single disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS. The details about the color options are not available yet, but we expect it to get some classic shades such as black, green, red, and blue.
Engine and Power
It will use the same 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that powers the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650. The engine produces 47bhp of power and 52Nm of torque, and it is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine is known for its smooth performance, refined sound, and linear power delivery.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
This bike is likely to have a similar fuel efficiency and tank capacity as the other 650cc models from the brand. The Interceptor 650 has a claimed mileage of 25.93kmpl and a fuel tank capacity of 13.7 liters. The Bullet 650 may have a slightly lower mileage due to its heavier weight and different aerodynamics.
Features
Bullet 650 will be a basic motorcycle in terms of features, as it will focus more on the retro appeal and simplicity. The bike will get a semi-digital console that will display information such as speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, clock, gear position indicator, and service reminder. The bike will also get a halogen headlamp with LED DRLs, LED taillight, electric start, engine kill switch, side stand indicator, and dual-channel ABS.
Wheel Size and Weight
It can have 18-inch wire-spoke wheels at both ends, which will give it a classic look and better stability. The bike will use tube-type tyres that will have a size of 100/90-18 at the front and 130/70-18 at the rear. The bike is expected to have a substantial kerb weight of around 200kg, which may affect its handling and maneuverability.
Rivals
It will compete with other cruiser bikes in the same price range, such as the QJ Motor SRC 500, Harley-Davidson X440, Jawa 42 Bobber, Benelli Imperiale 400, Keeway K-Light 250V, and Keeway V302C.
