The Honda Activa 125 has been updated for 2023 with a new OBD2-compliant engine and five colour options. The scooter is available in four variants - Drum, Drum Alloy, Disc, and H-Smart - with prices ranging from Rs. 79,806 to Rs. 88,979 (ex-showroom).

The Honda Activa 125 is a premium scooter that offers a refined and reliable performance, along with a host of features and a stylish design. The scooter is powered by a 124 cc BS6 Phase 2 engine that delivers 8.19 bhp of power and 10.4 Nm of torque. The engine features Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, ACG Starter, and Idling Stop System for improved fuel efficiency and smooth operation.
Variant and Color
The Honda Activa 125 is offered in four variants - Drum, Drum Alloy, Disc, and H-Smart. The Drum variant comes with steel wheels and drum brakes on both ends, while the Drum Alloy variant gets alloy wheels and drum brakes. The Disc variant features alloy wheels and a disc brake at the front, while the H-Smart variant adds a smart key system with remote engine start/stop function.
The colour options for the scooter are Pearl Night Star Black, Heavy Grey Metallic (not available in the Drum variant), Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Precious White, and Midnight Blue.

It is powered by a 124 cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine that complies with the BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. The engine produces 8.19 bhp of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox that provides a smooth and linear acceleration.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
The Honda Activa 125 has a claimed fuel efficiency of 46.5 kmpl as per user reports. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres, which gives it a range of around 246 km on a full tank. The scooter also features an Idling Stop System that automatically switches off the engine when the scooter is idle for more than three seconds, thus saving fuel .
Features and Boot Capacity
It comes with a range of features that enhance its convenience and comfort. Some of the notable features are an LED headlight with LED position lamps, a semi-digital instrument cluster with an odometer, clock, ECO indicator, and service due indicator, a side stand engine inhibitor function that prevents the engine from starting when the side stand is down, a combined braking system that applies both brakes simultaneously when either lever is pressed, and an external fuel filler cap for easy refuelling. The scooter also has a boot capacity of 18 litres, which can accommodate a full-face helmet or other essentials .
Wheel Size and Weight
It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels (steel wheels in the Drum variant) that are shod with tubeless tyres. The tyre size is 90/90-12 at the front and 90/100-10 at the rear. The scooter has a kerb weight of 109 kg (110 kg for the H-Smart variant), which makes it easy to handle and manoeuvre in traffic .
