In a bold move to make electric mobility more accessible, Ola Electric has launched two exciting new scooter ranges—the Ola S1 Z and Ola Gig. These models are designed to cater to a wide range of customers and come at incredibly affordable prices starting at ₹39,000. Deliveries for these scooters are expected to begin in April 2025.

Introducing the Ola Gig Series

The Ola Gig range offers two models: the Ola Gig and the Ola Gig+. Starting at ₹39,999, the Gig comes with a 1.5 kWh battery that offers a certified range of 112 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 25 km/h powered by a 250 W motor. The Ola Gig+ takes things a step further, with the option to extend its battery capacity to two 1.5 kWh units. This provides a range of up to 157 km and a higher top speed of 45 km/h, all for ₹49,999. Both models feature a portable battery, which can be removed for easy charging and can even double as a home inverter when paired with the Ola PowerPod which is available for ₹9,999.

The Ola S1 Z Range

Similar to the Gig series, the Ola S1 Z also comes in two models—the Ola S1 Z and the Ola S1 Z+. These scooters are designed to offer a balance of performance and affordability. Both models come with slots for two 1.5 kWh batteries, offering a range of up to 75 km for the Z model and up to 146 km for the Z+ model. Powered by a 3 kW motor, the S1 Z can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h. The introductory pricing for these models is ₹59,999 for the S1 Z and ₹64,999 for the S1 Z+.

The S1 Z variant is particularly ideal for individuals seeking an affordable electric scooter for daily commuting, while the S1 Z+ is versatile enough to serve both personal and commercial needs, such as e-commerce deliveries and small business use.
