The new Honda City Facelift 2023 launched in India at a base price of Rs. 11.49 Lakh.
The new Honda City facelift for 2023 has now arrived in India. Pricing for the sedan's upgraded variant range from Rs 11.49 lakh to Rs 20.39 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
It comes in four trim levels: SV, V, VX, and ZX, all with the identical engine configuration. It implies the new City will be available with either a 1.5L petrol engine or a 1.5L Atkinson cycle hybrid powertrain. While the former produces 121bhp with a 6-speed manual or a CVT transmission, the latter produces 126bhp with an e-CVT transmission.
Honda has improved both engines to satisfy Real Driving Emissions (RDE) and E20 compliance standards. Due to weak sales and the impending RDE rules, the automaker has abandoned the diesel engine.
The ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) has been implemented in petrol models with the mid-life upgrade. The suite contains technologies such as a 360 degree sensor, mitigation blind spot, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, etc. The sedan also has hill start assist, vehicle stability assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, 6 airbags, a multi angle rear view camera, an ISOFIX child mount, and ORVM-mounted lane watch cameras for further safety.
Its design has undergone minor alterations. The new Honda City facelift 2023 has slightly revised front and rear bumpers, a new honeycomb grille, and newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels. The Obsidian Blue color scheme is also new to the model selection. Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic are some of the other paint colours offered.
After the refreshed City, the Japanese manufacturer will reveal its all-new mid-size SUV, which will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Kia Seltos. The vehicle will debut in April or May, followed by a market introduction during the 2023 holiday season.
