2023 Honda City 2023 becomes the most affordable car with ADAS feature.
Newer vehicles come standard with a number of improved safety and connectivity features. Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), which was just launched on the new 2023 Honda City car, is one such feature.
ADAS technology is also available in SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV700 and the MG Astor. This function is popular since it enhances the driving experience.
While other automakers are adding ADAS technology to their top-tier models, Honda has gone ahead and included ADAS as standard in the majority of City sedan variations. In reality, the 2023 Honda City is our market's most cheap automobile with a sophisticated driver assistance system.
The new City facelift comes in four trim levels: SV, V, VX, and ZX. Except for the SV trim, the remainder of the new City trims are available with ADAS capabilities. Moreover, the V, VX, and ZX trims are available with both manual and CVT transmissions. The powerful hybrid powertrain is also available on the V model, making it more accessible.
Its new entry-level model costs Rs 11.49 lakh and comes exclusively with a 1.5L NA petrol engine with a manual transmission. It has projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail-lights, 15-inch steel wheels with plastic covers, TPMS, hill-start assist, 4 airbags, a height adjustable driver's seat, an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, ESP, traction control, and an engine start/stop button.
This grade is offered with a 1.5L petrol engine, MT or CVT transmission, and powerful hybrid technology. The petrol MT costs Rs 12.37 lakh while the petrol CVT costs Rs 13.62 lakh. The price of the powerful hybrid variant is Rs 18.89 lakh.
The City V manual is the country's most affordable model with ADAS technology. In fact, the City is the only model featuring ADAS with a manual transmission. It has features such as an auto emergency braking system, adaptive cruise control, a low speed follow function (only on hybrids), lane keep/departure aid, lead car departure notice, and automatic high beam.
The City V comes with LED fog lamps (hybrid), a boot-lid spoiler (hybrid), 15-inch dual-tone alloys in NA engine and 16-inch with hybrid, all-4 disc in hybrid version, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger in hybrid only, an electronic parking brake in hybrid variant, connected car tech, keyless entry, and a 7-inch MID with hybrid.
This grade is available with a 1.5L petrol engine and a manual or automatic transmission. The manual version costs Rs 13.49 lakh, while the CVT variant costs Rs 14.74 lakh. This version has all of the ADAS capabilities seen in the V trim. In addition, the City VX comes standard with six airbags, a lane watch camera, a sunroof, and a wireless charging.
The manual and automatic petrol models cost Rs 14.72 lakh and Rs 15.97 lakh, respectively. The price of the powerful hybrid variant is Rs 20.39 lakh. This model has amenities such as an auto-dimming IRVM, rain sensing wipers, LED headlights with fog lamps, a 7-inch MID, 16-inch wheels, leather interior, one-touch power windows, auto folding ORVMs, ambient lighting, and more.
The new City comes with two engine options: a 1.5L 4-cylinder NA petrol engine and a 1.5L NA petrol with e:HEV powerful hybrid with two electric motors. Although the former produces 121bhp and 145Nm of torque, the powerful hybrid produces 126bhp and 253Nm of torque.
