The EQE SUV is the SUV version of the EQE executive saloon. It, like the latter, is available with the EQS's fundamental improvements while also being more energetic than the EQS SUV. The EQE SUV is one of the most capacious models in its class. Despite this, it is more compact than the EQE Saloon and has a wheelbase that is nine centimeters shorter at 3030 millimeters. The external dimensions (length/width/height) are 4863/1940/1686 millimeters. The EQE SUV is the fourth model to employ the new all-electric architecture, following the two EQS and EQE saloons and the EQS SUV.
Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Design
The EQE SUV's proportions mix usefulness and beauty with the SUV's athletic nature. With its clear purpose design, the new model marks a watershed moment in its class. Overhangs and the front-end assembly have been kept to a minimum. The wheels, which range in size from 19 to 22 inches, are flush with the body's outer border and provide a dominating posture.
Some aerodynamic measures are shared by the EQE SUV and its model siblings. The underbody, with its numerous aerodynamic elements, plays a critical role in achieving a very good Cd value of 0.25 despite the enormous load capacity and short rear overhang. However, the dimensional concept with the flat windscreen, sweeping roofline, and indents was equally significant.
The EQE SUV is built on Mercedes EQ's big electric platform. It also has an interior that has been continually digitalized. This concept is impressively realized with the optional MBUX Hyperscreen. The typical Electric Art interior contains no leather at all.
The new EQE SUV's chassis consists of a four-link suspension in the front and an independent multi-link suspension in the rear. Even with the basic set-up, it feels extremely nimble and maneuverable due to the comparatively short wheelbase of 3030 mm and the appropriate suspension calibration. As an option, the AIRMATIC air suspension with ADS+ continuously adjustable damping is offered. The vehicle level can be raised by up to 30 mm to increase ground clearance. In addition to the ECO, COMFORT, SPORT, and INDIVIDUAL DYNAMIC SELECT programs, the EQE SUV models with 4MATIC feature the OFFROAD program for off-road driving. As an alternative, a rear axle steering system with a maximum steering angle of 10 degrees is offered.
Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Interior & Features
The EQE SUV's modular drive design allows it to provide a wide range of maximum total drive outputs ranging from 215 to 300 kW. European automobiles can attain WLTP ranges of up to 590 kilometers depending on the vehicle equipment and design. The lithium-ion battery of the EQE SUV is made up of ten modules. In some situations, the revolutionary battery management software created in-house can be updated wirelessly (OTA).
The latest generation of driving aid systems contains a plethora of features that assist the driver. The EQE SUV comes standard with ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Parking Package with reversing camera, and Speed Limit Assist. The status and activity of the systems are displayed in full-screen mode on the driver's assistance display. The Assistance Package and Driving Assistance Plus Package both offer additional possibilities.
The EQE SUV allows you to activate extra vehicle capabilities via over-the-air technology (OTA) in a variety of functional areas. This means that after purchasing the EQE SUV and selecting the original new car configuration, some of its equipment can be independently customized. The OTA functions are now available in the Mercedes me Store, and the selection will be gradually expanded.
The MBUX display and operating system use adaptive algorithms to generate personalized suggestions for various entertainment, comfort, and vehicle tasks. The optional MBUX Hyperscreen is a centerpiece of the cabin. The zero-layer design eliminates the need for the user to scroll through submenus or utilize voice instructions. At the top of the field of view, situational and contextual apps are available.
Three screens blend nearly smoothly into one another to produce a screen band over 141 centimeters wide with the MBUX Hyperscreen (optional additional). The EQE SUV's front passenger gets the option of a 12.3-inch OLED display with its own user interface. The technology employs clever, camera-based blocking logic that detects when the driver's gaze is directed toward the front passenger display. If this is the case, the system dims the dynamic content automatically for security reasons (see separate chapter).
The name says it all when it comes to Navigation with Electric Intelligence. Because it plans the quickest and most convenient route, including charging stops, based on a variety of parameters. It also responds dynamically to traffic congestion or changes in driving style. Electric Intelligence navigation is sophisticated; it calculates the projected charging costs at each charging stop. Furthermore, the customer can customize the planned itineraries. They can customize the planned routes by adding preferred charging stations along the route or removing proposed charging stations.

Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV Safety Features
The Integral Safety principles apply independently of the kind of drive technology. As with all Mercedes-Benz models, the EQS SUV boasts a robust passenger compartment, specific deformation zones, and cutting-edge restraint systems. The EQE SUV's European version can identify whether the rear seats are occupied. A special warning is issued to the driver if a back passenger is not wearing a seat belt. The so-called occupant presence reminder can detect minors who may have been forgotten in the vehicle's back seat. This technology is standard in automobiles sold in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada.
The EQE SUV will go into production in December at the Mercedes-Benz facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (USA). The batteries for this model, as well as the EQS SUV, are supplied by a battery facility in adjacent Bibb County. Since this year, all of Mercedes-own Benz's passenger car and van factories globally, including the two Mercedes-Benz plants in Alabama, have achieved CO2-neutral production as part of their eco-balance.
