The diesel engine is more powerful as it comes with a 1.5L capacity. The highly refined i-VTEC diesel engine delivers an excellent mileage of 24.7km/l and a maximum of 100ps power @ 3600rpm. The aluminium construction reduces friction and noise to make the engine highly efficient.
CVT ensures a fantastic driving experience as it combines with the torque provided by the engine to deliver smooth and responsive acceleration. The diesel CVT is a first in the segment. The petrol version of Honda Amaze is also available with CVT.
Honda Amaze Ride, Handling, and Safety
The Honda Amaze has a sturdy presence. However, it is also one of the safest vehicles to drive. The driver and front-seat co-passenger get airbags for additional safety from accidental impacts.
The driver-side window features a one-touch up-down facility with a pinch guard. The standard rear parking sensors allow you to reverse the vehicle with care as it alerts you of any obstacles. In addition, the rear parking camera provides a clear view of the space behind you to ensure that you do not stretch backward to see properly when reversing.
Children are safe when travelling on the Honda Amaze as it comes equipped with Isofix child seat anchorages. In addition, the ECU immobilizer system prevents the engine from starting when someone tries to tamper with the wrong keys.
The Honda Amaze comes equipped with standard ABS and EBD to ensure proper braking in all kinds of weather and even at high speeds. In addition, the standard Ace body structure is designed so that it absorbs the shocks and disperses crash energy evenly through the vehicle to prevent the passengers from feeling the forceful impact.
Honda Amaze Competition Check
The Honda Amaze is one of the sturdiest vehicles on the road. However, it faces competition from other vehicles in its niche. These cars include Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor, and the Volkswagen Ameo.
