The Hero Glamour Xtec is a new variant of the popular 125cc commuter bike from Hero MotoCorp. It was launched in India in July 2021 with a price tag of Rs 78,900 for the drum brake variant and Rs 83,500 for the disc brake variant (ex-showroom Delhi).
Introduction
This bike is a premium version of the Glamour that offers more features and style. It is aimed at young and urban customers who want a reliable and comfortable bike with some modern touches.
Variant and Color
It is available in two variants: drum brake and disc brake. The drum brake variant has a 130mm drum brake at the front and a 240mm drum brake at the rear.
The disc brake variant has a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. Both variants have CBS (combined braking system) as standard. The Hero Glamour Xtec comes in two color options: Techno Blue and Grey.
Engine and Power
It is powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 10.7 bhp at 7500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and has a fuel injection system for better performance and efficiency.
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
It has a claimed fuel efficiency of 68 kmpl, which is impressive for a 125cc bike. It has a fuel tank capacity of 10 liters, which gives it a decent range of around 680 km on a full tank.
Features
It has several features that make it stand out from its rivals. It has a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator, eco mode indicator, service reminder, and more.
It also has LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, LED DRLs (daytime running lights), USB charger, side stand engine cut-off, and bank angle sensor.
Wheel Size and Weight
It has 18-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The front tyre size is 80/100-18 and the rear tyre size is 100/80-18. The bike has a kerb weight of 123 kg for the drum brake variant and 126 kg for the disc brake variant.
