The joint venture was terminated in 2010 and the group rebranded itself as Hero MotoCorp Limited. The Hero brand name was derived from the first two letters of the partners' names, Henckell and Roth, who founded the Conservenfabrik Lenzburg in Switzerland in 1886 to process fruit and vegetables. Evolution of Suzuki

As a result, an international arbitration court ordered Volkswagen to sell back its stake in Suzuki. In September 2015, Suzuki completed the stock buy-back by paying $3.8 billion.
