► Top 6 Reasons to buy XUV700 is mentioned in this article.
Mahindra launched XUV700 on the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day and gifted India with its much-anticipated SUV for an astonishingly low starting price. With this new model, Mahindra has already created a disruption in the market and gained huge numbers in terms of sales. They have attracted customers towards both the 5 & 7 seater segments. And to that end, Mahindra has enhanced its position by providing various segment-leading features. Is it, however, truly superior to other cars in the sector, and has the transition from 500 to 700 made the XUV more premium than before?
The XUV700, which is based on a completely new monocoque platform, looks rather remarkable and keeps the spirit of the XUV500 in its appearance. Because of the flush door handles and polished character lines, its overall appearance is significantly cleaner and more elegant than its predecessor. This makes its design the top reason to buy the XUV700. It now has a blacked-out chrome-plated 6-slat grille flanked by LED headlights with distinctive "C" shaped LED DRLs. The dynamic indicators positioned between the two linings of the daytime running lamps round out this configuration.
The arch above the back wheel reminds you of the XUV500 from the side. The flush-sitting door knobs that spring out when you press them are the most enticing feature. However, in the top-spec X7 trim with the option pack, they are electrically actuated. The 18-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloys and arrow-shaped LED taillamps that appear exceptionally exquisite, especially in the dark, add to the more inventive design.
Overall, the XUV700 does not appear as aggressive or bulgy as the XUV500, thanks to its well-balanced proportions and longer (+110mm) and wider (+50mm) wheelbase. However, it is 30mm shorter than the XUV500. While these changes are subtle, the overall product appears more premium and has a commanding road presence.
The new XUV700 interior design is unquestionably impressive, providing a luxurious impression. Its dashboard, which is dominated by a dual-screen configuration, will remind you of the latest-generation Mercedes vehicles. Despite the use of hard plastic throughout the cabin, the soft-touch leather and silver accents on the dashboard add a lovely touch. Furthermore, the fake wooden door pad trims, piano-black door knobs and switches, and white leatherette upholstery complement the interior.
The list of features for the Mahindra XUV700 is fairly long. It has an all-LED lighting system, dynamic LED indicators, the segment's largest panoramic sunroof (sky roof), a power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support and memory function, two-zone climate control, a fully digital instrument cluster, keyless entry with a push-button start/stop function, a one-touch tumble seat in the second row with recline function, rear AC vents with a blower controller in the third row, all three rows have power/charging sockets, a cooled front center armrest, a rear central armrest with cup holders, LED illumination inside the cabin, extendable sunshades, an optional wireless charging pad, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a smart air purifier, tilt-and-telescopic steering adjustment, and four driving modes with the diesel model, among other features.
The infotainment responsibility, on the other hand, is handled by a 10.25-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with an optional 12-speaker Sony premium sound system that sounds simply wonderful. It also includes 60+ connected vehicle technologies, in-built navigation, and many more apps such as Zomato and JustDial. The Amazon-powered Alexa AI assistant is also available, and it can be used to operate different car features like as opening and shutting the sunroof, music streaming, climate control, weather updates, and much more using voice requests.
Safety features include seven airbags (including a driver-side knee airbag), ABS with EBD, disc wiping, dynamic stability control, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold (optional), front & rear parking sensors, a 360-degree cameras (optional), and a slew of radar-based Level-2 ADAS active safety technologies such as adaptive cruise control, driver drowsiness detection system, lane-keep assist, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), smart pilot assist, Users can also adjust the sensitivity of the ADAS technology and even turn it off completely or use it only for alerts.
It's also worth noting that its high-resolution 360-degree camera works pretty well and even has a 3D mode that shows you not just the surroundings but also what's below the car. It might also be used as a dashcam to capture your driving experiences. In fact, it begins recording immediately when you apply a strong brake or engage the emergency brake assist.
The XUV700 is available with both petrol and diesel engines. Its petrol engine is a 2.2-liter mStallion turbocharged unit with a segment-leading power output of 200PS/380Nm, while the 2.2-liter mHawk turbo-diesel engine produces up to 185PS and 450Nm (420Nm with MT and 155PS/360Nm in MX trim). Both of these engines are available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. In addition, the XUV700 diesel is offered with a segment-first all-wheel-drivetrain (AWD).
When it comes to performance, the diesel engine has a lot of torque to give. So, whether you're navigating city streets or highways, you won't have to worry about anything. It has four driving modes: Zip, Zap, Zoom, and Custom, which may also be shortened to Eco, Urban, Sport, and Individual. That being said, the Zip mode is designed for economical driving with light steering and linear power delivery, whilst the Zap mode increases power marginally and adds weight to the steering. The Zoom mode, on the other hand, makes throttle inputs so responsive that the wheels begin spinning in the corners.
Finally, the custom mode allows you to customize the engine, steering, air conditioning, brakes (ABS), and gearbox settings.
Its petrol engine is a finely tuned unit that provides power extremely smoothly, making your journey in both city and highway situations effortless. However, unlike diesel, it does not have any driving modes. And, given that it is towing a huge SUV, don't expect it to be economical.
The XUV700's ride quality is something we truly like. It provides excellent comfort to its passengers and feels stable and in control on both corners and long stretches of road. The steering feedback is adequate but not enjoyable. There is also some body roll in corners, but it is well controlled.
As previously stated, Mahindra has offered the XUV700 in both 5 and 7-seating configurations, which will appeal to a broader range of buyers. Furthermore, Mahindra's excellent price and diverse engine options may work in its favor.
