New Maruti Dzire's LED tail lights leaked with a premium Y-shaped pattern, enhancing its appeal ahead of the mid-2025 launch. Learn more about its design and features.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire is making headlines once again, this time with its newly leaked LED tail lights featuring a striking Y-shaped pattern. This new design element puts the Dzire in direct competition with rivals like the Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura. Here’s a closer look at what’s been revealed ahead of the official launch.
Although Maruti Suzuki has not yet officially announced a launch date, the new Dzire is expected to hit the market around mid-2025. With its upgraded design and premium features, the Dzire is poised to remain a strong contender in the sub-4m sedan segment, competing with models like the Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura.
The new Maruti Dzire is set to feature the same 1.2L Z12E 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that debuted with the 4th generation Swift. While the power output is slightly lower compared to the current 1.2L K12 4-cylinder engine found in the Dzire, the new engine is expected to offer improved fuel efficiency, which will likely appeal to buyers.
A while ago, the LED headlight design of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire was leaked, giving us a first glimpse of the sub-4m sedan's aesthetics. Now, the tail lights have been leaked, showcasing a unique Y-shaped LED design, which is similar to Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. This modern and sleek design enhances the Dzire’s premium appeal, further differentiating it from its hatchback counterpart, the Swift.

Maruti Dzire and Swift have shared several components, including similar front fascias and subtle changes in their overall designs. However, with the introduction of the 4th generation Dzire, Maruti is making significant efforts to distinguish it from the Swift. Spy shots reveal a unique front design for the Dzire, setting it apart from the hatchback for the first time.
The leaked images of the Dzire’s LED tail lights highlight this distinction. Unlike the previous generation’s half-C-shaped LED tail lights, the new Y-shaped lights appear more premium and refined. Additionally, the tail lights seem to incorporate LED brake lights, while the turn indicators and reverse lights remain halogen-based.
The new Dzire doesn’t just stand out with its tail lights. The headlight design, previously leaked, features a horizontal LED DRL with six reflector barrels, along with halogen-based turn indicators. Both the headlight and tail light leaks originated from a Delhi-based car accessory shop, Om Car Accessories, which has been a reliable source for such revelations.
Maruti Suzuki seems to be upping the premium factor with this model, as indicated by these lighting upgrades. These features align with the automaker's goal of positioning the Dzire as a more upmarket option compared to the Swift.
Inside the new Dzire, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer several upgrades over the Swift. Among the anticipated features are a front centre armrest and a HUD (Heads-Up Display), adding to the overall comfort and convenience for drivers. There is also speculation that the Dzire might offer a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, in contrast to the 5-speed AMT available in the Swift.
