Toyota launches the Urban Cruiser Hyryder; Priced at INR 15.11 Lakh

Toyota has launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder compact SUV and this SUV is the segment's first strong hybrid offering. Prices are also very competitive compared to its competition.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has released pricing information for the much-anticipated Urban Cruiser Hyryder compact SUV. Prices for the top four variants of the offering have been announced, while prices for the remaining variants will be announced in stages. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder top variants are priced between Rs. 15.11 lakh and Rs. 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new SUV is powered by 1.5-litre mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid engines, with AWD as an option. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder bookings began in July of this year, and we also drove the SUV last month.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is available with two petrol engines. The 1.5-liter K-Series mild-hybrid gasoline engine with an integrated starter motor generator (ISG). The engine produces approximately 100 bhp and 135 Nm of peak torque when coupled with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. There is also a 1.5-liter hybrid engine with the Toyota Hybrid System and an e-drive transmission. The engine produces 91 bhp and 122 Nm of peak torque, with an electric motor providing 79 bhp and 141 Nm of instant torque. The engine is claimed to have a fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl.
