Indian automakers continue to post strong sales numbers as the year comes to an end. This is partially because there is more demand for new automobiles and because there are many new launches luring customers. The top 10 selling vehicles have remained the same, but the ranking has shifted, with some vehicles moving up and others down. Maruti Suzuki, the market leader, dominated with 7 vehicles making it into the top 10 of 2022.

A prototype Wagon R powered by flex fuel has been unveiled by Maruti. It has an improved engine and runs on an ethanol-petrol mixture. Additionally, Maruti Wagon R is available this December with discounts of up to Rs 57,000. The cost of the Maruti Wagon R ranges from Rs. 5.48 lakh to Rs. 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The hatchback is available from Maruti in four trim levels: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The LXi and VXi trims also come with a CNG option.
Engine and transmission options include a 1-liter engine (producing 67PS and 89Nm) and a 1.2-liter engine (90PS and 113Nm). Both engines are coupled to a five-speed manual transmission with the option of an automatic.
Global NCAP gave the Maruti Swift a one-star safety grade in a crash test. Additionally, in December, discounts on the Maruti Swift are available up to Rs 35,000.
Price: Maruti charges between Rs 5.92 lakh to Rs 8.85 lakh for the Swift (ex-showroom Delhi).
There are four trims available: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. CNG is an additional option for the VXi and ZXi trims.

Baleno Maruti Suzuki costs between Rs 7.69 lakhs to Rs 9.49 lakhs,The Baleno facelift was introduced by Maruti Suzuki in India in 2019. Along with an exterior and equipment improvement, its petrol engines have been upgraded to BS6 standards. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is, in a nutshell, the brand's high-end hatchback. Car Exteriors: The Maruti Suzuki Baleno's exterior features include a redesigned front bumper, LED headlamps, new fog lights, new alloy wheels, and LED tail lights. Its dimensions are 3,995mm in length, 1,745mm in width, 1,510mm in height, and 2,520mm in wheelbase.
The interior of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is decorated in black and blue, and it has a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Maruti's SmartPlay Studio app. It also has UV-cut glass, steering-mounted controls, an engine start-stop button, automatic climate control, and a height-adjustable driver seat. The Baleno has a seating capacity for five people, a smooth ride, easy handling, and simple controls.
Engine and Speed : The 1.2-liter petrol engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has two tuning settings: basic and dual-jet. Due to the brand's hybrid technology, the former produces 82 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque, while the latter produces 89 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque. These engines can be paired with either a CVT or a five-speed manual transmission, with mileage ratings of 21.96 and 19.56 kilometres per gallon, respectively.
Safety Features: The Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes standard with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, Isofix child seat anchorage points, seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters, a speed alert system, and a seat-belt reminder system.
This December, Tata Nexon is offering a corporate discount of up to Rs 5,000. The Nexon costs between Rs 7.70 lakh and Rs 14.18 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
Eight wide trims are available: XE, XM, XM (S), XM+ (S), XZ+, XZ+ (HS), XZ+ (L), and XZ+ (P). While the Kaziranga Edition and the new "Jet" Edition are only available on the highest-spec XZA+ (P) trim, the Dark Edition is available on trims starting at XZ+.It has five seats, making it a subcompact SUV.
Tata supplies it with two engine choices: a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, turbodiesel engine and a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol unit, both of which produce 120 PS and 170 Nm (110PS and 260Nm). A six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed AMT is mated to each engine.
It has a voice-activated digital instrument cluster, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control with rear vents, cruise control, and rain-sensing wipers. An eight-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, and an air purifier with an air quality display are all included in the top-spec trims.It has five seats, making it a subcompact SUV.
In terms of safety, it boasts ISOFIX child-seat anchors, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, an electronic stability programme (ESP), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Rivals : The Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Hyundai Venue compete with the Tata Nexon.
Customers will get discounts on the Maruti Dzire this December worth up to Rs 25,000.
Price: The Dzire is offered by Maruti for a range of Rs 6.24 lakh to Rs 9.18 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
There are four trims available: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. There is also a CNG kit available for the second-to-bottom VXi and second-to-top ZXi.
Engine and Transmission : Maruti equipped the Dzire with a 1.2-liter Dual Jet petrol engine that produces 90PS and 113Nm, along with a five-speed manual transmission as standard equipment and a five-speed AMT as an option. The CNG equivalent produces 77 PS and 98.5 Nm of output (13PS and 14.5Nm less than the standard version).

A seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 4.2-inch multi-colour MID, cruise control, automatic LED headlights, auto-folding ORVMs, push-button engine start/stop, and auto AC with rear vents are among the features available on the Dzire.
Safety: It has dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors on its list of safety features. Only AMT models are available with electronic stability control and hill-hold assistance.
Rivals: The Tata Tigor, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Aura are the Dzire's rivals.
Price: The items cost between Rs 3.39 lakh to Rs 5.03 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
It is available from Maruti in four trim levels: Std (O), LXi (O), VXi, and VXi+. An optional CNG kit is also offered for the base-spec L (O) trim.
Engine and Transmission: A 0.8-liter petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission (producing 48PS and 69Nm) is responsible for propulsion. When using CNG, the output lowers to 41PS and 60Nm. The vehicle's quoted mileage is 31.59 km/kg for CNG and 22.05 km/l for gasoline.
A seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is one of the Alto 800's features. Front power windows and keyless entry are further features.

The India-spec vehicle will also be available with 140PS, 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engines and 115PS, 1.5-litre diesel engines. The 1.5-liter petrol engine might be paired with the iMT (clutchless manual transmission) in India's facelifted Creta.
A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, linked car technology, cruise control, a wireless phone charger, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and an air purifier might all be included in the revised Creta's feature set.
Safety : It may come with all of the current model's available safety features, such as a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill start aid, a rear-view monitor, and up to six airbags. Additionally, a variety of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are anticipated to be included (ADAS).

Due to a potential issue with the front row seatbelts shoulder height adjuster assembly, Maruti has recalled certain Ertiga models.
Retail prices for the Ertiga range from Rs. 8.41 lakh to Rs. 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The vehicle's 209-liter boot can be expanded to 550-liters by folding down the third row.
