The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, a mid-range adventure bike, has been launched at Rs. 10.30 lakh. Featuring a parallel-twin engine, robust steel frame, and advanced features like TFT screen and STCS, it sets new standards.

Japanese automobile manufacturer Suzuki has finally launched its V-Strom 800DE. A latest addition in the adventure line of Suzuki, V-Strom 800DE has set an example for innovative design with a new parallel-twin engine and a robust steel frame. The bike has been priced competitively in the category of  middleweight adventure bike.

Engine

A 776 cc parallel-twin engine, delivering power of 82 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm, can be seen housed within this adventure motorcycle. This powerhouse made sure to feature a 270 degree firing order which helps in better performance and enough torque range. To suppress the engine vibration, the company has installed Suzuki’s innovative Cross Balancer System.

Suspension & Dimensions

V-Strom 800DE is providing a ground clearance of 220 mm and is equipped with adjustable Showa suspension. Though the kerb weight of this bike is 232 kg, it is all easy to handle and offers smooth rides across all terrains. Moreover with a fuel tank capacity of 20 litres the motorcycle executes better  extended range between refills.

Chassis & Wheels

Featuring a sturdy steel frame for better stability and agility while riding, the bike comes equipped with a rear sub-frame  for easy replacement in case of damage. For best traction and control on diverse terrain, wire-spoke wheels with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires can be seen as features with the motorcycle.

Features

All equipped with advanced features like 5-inch colour TFT LCD multi-information screen, convenient USB connectivity, three riding modes and Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS),  V-Strom 800DE offers riders optimal performance and safety. Moreover, the bike has been made available in three colour schemes for buyers to choose from.

Price & Competition

Launched at an introductory price of Rs. 10.30 lakh (Ex-showroom), the motorcycle has set its stage to rival with some of the popular middleweight adventure bike segment in India. If we look at the competitors like BMW F 850 GS and Triumph Tiger 900 series, V-strom can be said to offer value for money. Though the motorcycle is lacking cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tires, V-Strom 800 DE, is providing best performance and feature packed design.
