Skoda, the Czech carmaker, plans to offer a new line of cars in India in order to maintain its strong growth pace. According to sources, the manufacturer intends to launch at least three to five new items in the next 12 months. In addition, Skoda is working on a brand-new small SUV that will be available in 2025.
Skoda is prepared to debut its worldwide successful Enyaq EV, new Superb sedan, and limited edition Octavia RS iV before releasing the new compact SUV. These models will most likely be available as CBU or CKD units. Skoda intends to enter the country's electric vehicle market with the Enyaq iV. In reality, the car has already been imported for testing reasons by the corporation. It is expected to be released in early 2023.
Skoda is scheduled to release the top-of-the-line Enyaq iV 80X, which has a 77kWh battery pack and supports up to 125kW DC fast charging. It has two motors, one on each axle, for AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) with a total output of 265bhp. It is reported to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The vehicle has a WLTP certified range of up to 513km, making it the longest-range EV in its class.
Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV has 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument dashboard, ambient lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and interior made of leather and microfibre fabric. Skoda might potentially offer a lesser-spec, two-wheel drive option to decrease the starting price of the electric SUV.
The Skoda Enyaq iV is built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB born electric platform, which also serves as the foundation for the Volkswagen ID4 and Audi Q4 e-tron crossovers. The platform supports single-motor, RWD, and dual-motor AWD configurations, both of which are offered with the Enyaq iV. The Skoda Enyaq iV electric has dimensions of 4,648mm long, 1879mm wide, 1,616mm height, and a wheelbase of 2,765mm.
