Packed with powerful performance and innovative features, the S1 Air aims to make a mark in India's competitive electric scooter market.
Ola Electric has made headlines once again with the opening of bookings for its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 Air. Alongside this launch, the manufacturer has decided to discontinue the S1 electric scooter from its lineup.
This strategic shift means that Ola Electric will now solely focus on selling the S1 Air and S1 Pro in the fiercely competitive Indian electric scooter market. The purchase window for the S1 Air is currently open exclusively for the S1 community and pre-booked customers.
The S1 Air boasts an impressive 3 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 125 km on a single charge. The battery takes approximately 5 hours to reach full capacity. Equipped with a capable hub motor, the S1 Air can generate a maximum power output of 4.5 kW, showcasing its agile performance on the road.
Acceleration is swift, with 0 to 40 kmph achieved in just 3.3 seconds, while 60 kmph can be reached in a mere 5.7 seconds. The scooter achieves a top speed of 90 kmph. Riders have the option to choose from three distinct riding modes - Eco, Normal, and Sports, catering to different preferences and scenarios.
Feature-Rich Experience
Ola Electric ensures that the S1 Air offers an array of impressive features to enhance the riding experience. Among these features is cruise control, providing added convenience during long rides. The touchscreen cluster serves as an information hub for riders, allowing access to various functions and features of the scooter.

The S1 Air is designed for practicality, featuring a flat floorboard, making it more versatile compared to the S1 Pro. Notably, the grab handle has undergone a redesign and is now a single-piece unit composed of metal. Additionally, the under-seat storage capacity stands at 34 litres, providing ample space for essential belongings.
Braking and Suspension System
Braking duties on the S1 Air are handled by reliable drum brakes in both the front and rear. Telescopic forks in the front and dual-shock absorbers at the rear ensure a comfortable and smooth ride on varying terrains. As part of the cost optimization strategy, the alloy wheels have been replaced with steel wheels.
With the introduction of the S1 Air and the decision to discontinue the S1 electric scooter, Ola Electric is making strategic moves to carve a prominent position in India's burgeoning electric scooter landscape.
Offering an enticing blend of performance, features, and practicality, the S1 Air is set to compete fiercely in the segment. As Ola Electric's lineup evolves, electric scooter enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the opportunity to experience the remarkable capabilities of the S1 Air.
