The Nissan X-Trail has officially launched in India. It will be a fully built unit (CBU) and will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster. The Nissan X-Trail features a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 163 ps of power and 300 Nm of torque. It includes a third-gen Xtronic CVT with D-Step logic control and paddle shifters, along with mild-hybrid technology.
The X-Trail offers a standard 7-seater configuration, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and an 8-inch infotainment system. It includes a panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and cruise control. Safety features consist of ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-start assist, front parking sensors, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera.
However, it lacks ADAS, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. It also misses some features found in other cars in its segment, like a powered tailgate and ventilated seats.
