Nissan has revealed Three new SUVs in India - X-trail, Qashqai, and Juke

Nissan has exhibited the X-Trail, Qashqai, and Juke SUVs in India. This Japanese automaker's Indian unit has revealed that it is researching the viability of two of its most popular global models for the dynamic Indian market. Nissan has also stated that X-Trail and Qashqai road testing will begin this month in India.

Aside from these SUVs, the company also displayed the Juke. Nissan intends to analyse its fit for the continuously changing Indian consumer base.

"The testing will analyse each vehicle's potential to meet consumers' expectations by focusing primarily on their adaptability to Indian roads and different terrains," the company said in a press release. According to Nissan, it will determine the sustainability of models from its worldwide portfolio for the future perspectives vehicle lineup in the Indian market over the upcoming weeks.

After testing is completed, the Nissan fourth-generation X-Trail will be the first vehicle to go on sale, followed by other variants. The new model has modern-style features and a streamlined cabin with plenty of premium features. Though the highlight is you have the option of a traditional 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 163 PS or a powerful hybrid powertrain with 204 PS (front-wheel drive) and 213 PS (four-wheel drive).

Nissan hasn't announced when it will bring the Qashqai to India, but it might be on the way if it passes its testing here.

Nissan Qashqai

It is powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 12V mild hybrid system. Qashqai has a 140kW motor with a self-charging battery and is available with the Xtronic CVT transmission. It has a chrome grill surround, boomerang-shaped LED Matrix headlights, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.8-inch head-up display, voice command, and other amenities.

Nissan Juke

Nissan X-trail

The new X-Trail has a sleek shape and it includes huge split LED headlights with DRLs in the upper part and a front grille similar to the present Kicks SUV. From the side, the SUV has a cab-forward appearance with huge windows, a strong shoulder line, and a broad C-pillar reminiscent of the MG Gloster. Overall, the X-Trail appears to be well-designed and should appeal to the majority of purchasers and passers-by. The rear end appears even more modern and elegant with its layered tailgate design and robust lower-skid plate.

In the international market, the X-Trail is equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (mated to a 12-volt mild-hybrid tech) producing 163PS and 300Nm. The strong-hybrid type has 204PS (2WD) and 213PS (3WD) (4WD).
