MG Hector Blackstorm Edition: MG Motors India has announced that it will launch an all-new Blackstorm edition of its popular SUV, MG Hector in India this week. The automaker has recently teased the new Black edition of the SUV before the official launch. The company has confirmed that the new edition of the SUV will make its Indian debut on April 10. The new Blackstorm edition will be positioned on the top of the MG Hector India lineup. Once launched, the MG Hector will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Tata Harrier. In this article, we have talked about the interiors and exteriors of the upcoming Blackstorm edition of the MG Hector in a detailed manner.

MG Hector Blackstorm Edition: What’s Changed?

The upcoming Blackstorm edition of the Hector will be the third all-black edition in MG’s India portfolio. Earlier, the automaker launched the Blackstorm edition of the Astor and Gloster. The Blackstorm edition comes with multiple cosmetic changes, which include an all-black exterior colour theme, updated upholstery, red accents and Blackstorm badging among others.

MG Hector Blackstorm Edition: Exterior Updates

According to the recently released teaser images of the Blackstorm edition of the MG Hector, it is apparent that the SUV will get a blacked-out grille and a starry black exterior body colour. The SUV derives the chrome touch on the front fascia from the existing top-end trim of the MG Hector. Additionally, the SUV’s headlights and ORVMs will now come with red accents. The alloy wheels will also get red brake callipers. Other cosmetic changes to the SUV include a Black Edition badging on the front fenders on each side, glossy black door garnish, black finish roof rails and black treatments on the tail lights.

MG Hector: Interior and Features

The MG Hector Blackstorm is expected to get the same interiors as its existing model. However, it will be differentiated with an all-black theme for the interiors and red stitches on the new premium-looking Tuxedo Black upholstery. Additionally, the SUV will also come with Sangria Red-themed AC Vents, an all-black floor console, red stitches on the steering wheel and door trims.

MG Hector: Engine Options

As far as the power is concerned, the Hector Blackstorm will come equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo mated to both manual and CVT transmission units. Another powertrain option is a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel powertrain which comes paired with a manual gearbox.

MG Hector: Price

MG Motors recently introduced two new variants of the Hector SUV: Shine Pro and Select Pro variants. Both these variants sit in the mid-level of the MG Hector lineup. Currently, the prices of the MG Hector start from Rs. 13.99 lakh and go up to 22.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Blackstorm edition will be based on the top-end trim of the SUV which sits above it. According to some reports, the SUV will get Rs. 25000 costlier from its existing top-end trim.

CarBike360 Says

MG Motors has planned to introduce the Blackstorm edition of its popular SUV, MG Hector, featuring an all-black exterior theme with red accents and updated interiors. Expected to compete with rivals like Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier, it offers a range of cosmetic enhancements and retains the same engine options. Positioned atop the Hector lineup, it promises a premium driving experience. With anticipated price adjustments, it aims to attract discerning SUV enthusiasts in India.
