Messi, the Argentinean FIFA World Cup winning Captain is one of the highest paid athletes in the world. Let’s take a look at the car collection of Lionel Messi.
Even if there is debate over whether Argentine player Lionel Messi is the GOAT, there is no doubt that he is the footballer with the most cars. The most expensive automobile in the world, and the most expensive car in the world, in the world. This includes fellow petrol heads Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, Karim Benzema, and others.
That presumably explains why the footballer's automobile collection, complete with supercars, rings the registers at almost $28 million. This makes his automobile collection worth roughly $10 million more than Cristiano Ronaldo's. The two have more than a healthy competition going, both on and off the field. Messi has won the prestigious Ballon d'Or award by a score of seven to five.

The Argentine icon served his nation in five World Cups but was eliminated four times, leaving him devastated in 2014 when his team lost the championship game to Germany on a last-second Mario Gotze goal.
He did, however, ultimately experience triumph in an incredible final matchup with France. In a thrilling contest, Messi put his team ahead with a penalty kick, Angel Di Maria made it 2-0, Kylian Mbappe drew even with an unbelievable quick-fire double with 10 seconds remaining, and the game went into overtime.
Messi scored again during the tense half-hour of extra time, scrambling the ball into the French goal to appear to win the championship for Argentina. However, Mbappe once again saved the day, forcing penalties with a remarkable hat-trick in the World Cup final.

According to Forbes, Messi earned $75 million in on-field wages last year, more than any other sports person in the world.
His Paris Saint-Germain contract alone is approximately $35 million yearly, which means he gets $738,000 a week, or $105,000 a day, or $8,790 each hour.
The Argentine also got a nice $25 million joining fee when he signed for the French squad last summer, reports the Evening Standard.
In 2016, it was even reported that Messi outbid Ronaldo on a one-of-four classic Ferrari race car. Messi, on the other hand, would have paid a hefty $32 million. That would make it one of the most expensive Ferraris ever, and smashed global records when it was auctioned to an unnamed bidder. If the 1957 Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti actually makes Messi's garage home, then it very well confirms Messi's automobile collection as the Greatest Of All Time with a total worth over $50 million. Even without it, Messi's auto collection contains a slew of expensive vehicles worth over $28 million.
At the 2016 Retromobile auction, the 1957 Ferrari 335 S set a record price of $32 million. The former owner, Italian millionaire Alessandro Proto, implied in a news statement that the unknown buyer was a Barcelona football player. And he didn't stop there either. Proto also claimed that Ronaldo had bid on the same automobile. Though, the actor was eager to turn to social media and make fun of his reported new automobile acquisition.
This might be Messi's answer to previous tax fraud legal troubles that have dogged him over the years. Whatever the reason, we can't tell for definite that Messi owns the Ferrari. It is possible that this is the case.
Only four Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti vehicles were ever produced, and only three remain. Of those, one is a regular on the Concours circuit and usually wins best of show too. The Ferrari 335 S was one of the fastest cars of its time, capable on 186 mph in 1957! It ran a 4-liter V12 with quad cams, six twin 42mm Weber carburetors and over 400 horsepower. This specific car, originally from the Pierre Bardinon collection, came second in the 1957 Mille Miglia, and won the 1958 Cuban Gran Prix at the hands of Sir Stirling Moss.
Even if Messi does not possess one of the rarest Ferraris, he does own another rare Italian exotic that many collectors would kill for. The Pagani Zonda Tricolore was only produced in three units, up from the original planned production run of one. The Zonda Tricolore was built in 2010 to mark the 50th birthday of Italy's air force acrobatics squad. It was based on the Pagani Zonda Cinque, which was expected to be the Zonda's final incarnation, with only five cars constructed. When new, the Pagani Zonda Tricolore would've cost $1.6 million but contemporary estimates are north of $10 million!
The Zonda Tricolore carried modifications over the Cinque and Zonda R, including a unique aero fin on top of the engine cover harking back to the air force team's jets. The Tricolore also had a faster top speed of 220 mph than the Zonda Cinque, despite the fact that it shared the same 7.3-liter AMG-sourced V12 with over 670 horses and 575 ft-lbs of torque. It was offered with a semi-automatic or a manual transmission but we don't have the full data on what Messi's automobile is specced with. We assume it doesn't really matter because the car is now not road-legal, which means Messi's car has very little mileage on it.
Lionel Messi has a number of Audi vehicles, demonstrating his affinity for German-made automobiles. Audi has been a sponsor of Barcelona for many years, and all of the players can be seen driving Audi vehicles.
Messi owns the following Audi cars:
The Mercedes SLS AMG is another exotic beauty in Lionel Messi's car collection. It is both classy and sporty. It is a highly expensive and unusual car but not too pricey for one of the most paid football player in the world.
Lionel Messi paid approximately $642,490 for this exotic beauty. This car features a 6.2-liter DOHC V8 engine which delivers a beast performance
Other than exotic cars, some of Messi's most costly cars are now available. Range Rover is one of the most luxurious and the most costly SUVs brand in the world. Messi owns a couple of Range Rover automobiles.
Messi drives a Range Rover on a daily basis and to Nou Camp. This automobile performs exceptionally well on off-road tracks.
The lavishly roomy Cadillac Escalade is a five-metre-long and two-metre-wide luxury vehicle traditionally used by US presidents. The large and elegant cabin of the big SUV can comfortably seat eight passengers.
It makes sense that Messi occasionally transports his family in a Cadillac Escalade, according to British media. The ultra-luxurious automobile can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a peak speed of 210 km/h thanks to its massive 6.2-litre V-8 engine.
