  • Elegant brown and black theme for a sophisticated look.

  • Upgraded 10.25-inch display with the latest Mahindra UI.

  • Sunroof, new armrest, and convenient grab handles for a more comfortable ride.

In anticipation of the 5-door Thar launch in 2024, automotive enthusiasts have been treated to an early glimpse of the SUV's refreshed dashboard. The latest sightings reveal the dashboard undergoing various tests at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai, shedding light on various new updates and enhancements.

Dashboard Revealed in Skeletal Form

The ongoing tests provide a sneak peek into the structural integrity of the Thar 5-door's dashboard. In its skeletal form, distinctive features such as circular AC vents, a familiar center console, a front passenger grab handle, and a metal badge plate below the left AC vent are unmistakably the Thar’s signatures.

Dual-Tone Brown and Black Theme

A notable departure from the standard 3-door Thar's all-black theme, the 5-door variant boasts of a dual-tone brown and black color scheme for its dashboard. This aesthetic shift suggests a more familial vibe, aligning with the vehicle's primary purpose. Multiple interior color theme options may also be offered for the 5-door Thar.

Larger Infotainment Screen and New Instrument Cluster

The dashboard modifications include an expanded hollow space for an infotainment screen, potentially accommodating a 10.25-inch touchscreen—an upgrade from the 7-inch display in the current model. The Thar 5-door is expected to feature the latest Mahindra UI. Additionally, a new instrument cluster is on the cards, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Sunroof and Front Arm Rest

Distinctive features for the 5-door Thar includes the addition of a sunroof and a new front armrest. The inclusion of the grab handles on the A and B pillars further emphasizes the SUV's commitment to both comfort and utility.

Thar 5-door Design and Specifications

While the styling of the 5-door Thar is expected to retain the iconic design language of its predecessor, minor cosmetic touch-ups may also be introduced for meeting the expectations of its target audience. The longer body and wheelbase of the 5-door variant may also lead to a more subdued appearance.

CarBike360 Says

The sneak peek at the Thar 5-door's dashboard has stirred excitement among the fans. The dual-tone brown and black theme, larger 10.25-inch display, and added features like a sunroof and front armrest promise a more sophisticated driving experience. As we eagerly await the SUV's 2024 launch, the blend of rugged design and upgraded features hints at a compelling evolution for the iconic Thar.
