Mahindra slashes open bookings for Scorpio N and Classic by 33%, with pending orders dropping from 86,000 to 58,000 units as production increases.

Mahindra Scorpio N and Classic Waiting Period

Mahindra has increased the production of its Scorpio range, which includes the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic models. This strategic move is aimed at significantly reducing the waiting periods and the number of open bookings for these vehicles. The increased production is part of Mahindra's broader strategy to ramp up output across multiple models to bring down the overall number of pending orders.

Reduction in Open Bookings

In the last two months, Mahindra has successfully reduced the open bookings for the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic by 33%, bringing the total down to 58,000 units from 86,000 units in May.

Despite this progress, the automaker still has over 1.78 lakh units pending delivery across its entire model lineup. The Scorpio range continues to be a major contributor to Mahindra's sales, with around 12,000 new bookings each month. The production boost is expected to further reduce the waiting period for these popular SUVs, thereby driving sales growth.

Mahindra Thar Waiting Period Also Decreased

In addition to the Scorpio range, Mahindra's Thar three-door model has also seen a decrease in open bookings, with a drop of approximately 29% over the past few months. The company has announced plans to produce around 4,000 units of the newly launched Thar Roxx each month. This production increase is intended to manage the waiting period for the Thar five-door model, ensuring timely deliveries.
