Land Rover introduced Special Edition of Defender SUV to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the British Brand, Land Rover.
Land Rover has introduced a special edition Defender SUV to commemorate the renowned British brand's 75th anniversary. The Defender 75th Limited Edition has a distinctive painting on the outside as well as various aesthetic modifications to the outside and inside.
The Defender 75th Limited Edition will be produced three-quarters of a century after the renowned Land Rover Series I - at that time in 1948, the name of the off-roader was unveiled.
It's available in 90 or 110 bodystyles (the larger, eight-seat 130, which isn't marketed in India, has been excluded), and it's painted in Grasmere Green, which has never been seen on a Defender before and is associated with early Land Rover models, with 20-inch alloy wheels that match the bodywork.
Other notable features are "75 Years" graphics all over the body and Ceres Silver bumpers. The cross vehicle beam on the dashboard is similarly coloured to match the Grasmere Green. The Defender anniversary edition has been positioned as a highly collectible object, according to the brand, although no production numbers have been set.
The two powertrain options under the hood are the 296hp D300 diesel (90 and 110 versions) and the 398hp P400e plug-in hybrid (110 only). A 3D surround camera, Configurable Terrain Response, a Meridian sound system, and a 11.4in Pivi Pro infotainment system are among the technological features. All vehicles come standard with a number of extras, including a towing package, and customers can swap the conventional folding cloth roof with a sliding panoramic option.
While there is no word on the arrival of the Defender 75th Limited Edition in India, the brand presently sells the 90 and 110 variants of the Defender SUV. In addition, the company recently released the latest-generation Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport SUV lineup in the country.
