Hero teases a new large scooter, leaving enthusiasts speculating if it's an ICE or EV model. Patent design hints at sleekness, comfort, and potential game-changing features. Launch expected in late 2024.

Hero’s New Scooter Model Patent Design Leaked, ICE or EV?

Key Highlights:

  • Hero announces plans for a new large-sized scooter.
  • Leaked patent images suggest resemblance with previous models like Maestro and Activa.
  • Information regarding the scooter being powered by ICE or Electricity remains classified.

Hero, which has already been a dominant player in the market of two wheelers in India, has recently came forward and unveiled their plan of a new large size scooter. From the patent design, it is expected that this upcoming scooter will be better than the present large segment scooter by Hero Maestro.

Design and Features

Leaked patent images reveal a sleek and practical design for Hero's new scooter. Resemblance with other already launched scooter of Hero, like Maestro, Activa, and Vida, can be noticed from the design. Expected elements like LED headlight system of premium quality and sleek and stylish turn indicators would be of premium quality.

Claimed split-type seats and minimalistic design would contribute to a comfortable riding for the riders. Additional features which can be expected and assumed with the help of patent image is flat floorboard, and comfortable seat. Talking about the practical size of grab rail, which can be seen from the patent images, an enhancement in practical approach by the brand can be noticed.

Since the leaked patent image is a grey colour 3D picture, to claim whether this upcoming scooter by Hero will be an ICE engine scooter or an electric-scooter. Lack of disc brakes and non-telescopic front suspensions, unlike in large scooters of Hero, can be seen easily. Since, even the small sized scooters like Pleasure+ still receive front shock absorbers, impact of such lacks can be a game changer element for this two-wheeler, when this scooter will launch in the market.

If it is an ICE Scooter?

As this new scooter is expected to enter the market anytime in the second half of 2024, we must say, if this large-sized segment scooter will directly compete with ICE scooter, like Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Suzuki Access 125. The scooter is expected to carry the potential of being a flagship for Hero to dominate the scooter market in India, at an expected launch price of Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom).

If it is an E-Scooter?

If the new scooter adopts an electric powertrain, it could challenge existing electric scooters, like TVS iQube and Ather’s upcoming Rizta. We can expect this scooter to be launched at the price tag of Rs 1,10,000 (ex-showroom).

CarBike360 Says

Hero MotoCorp's patented new scooter model represents a significant step forward for the company. Whether powered by an internal combustion engine or an electric drivetrain, Hero's latest creation promises unparalleled performance, style, and affordability for riders worldwide.
