TVS Jupiter 125 CNG is set to be the world's first factory-fitted CNG scooter. With its bi-fuel engine, the scooter combines fuel efficiency with modern features, offering a promising addition to the two-wheeler market.
TVS Motor Company displayed the Jupiter 125 CNG at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi. It was a hint of an imminent launch by the company. This scooter is popular for being the world's first factory-fitted CNG scooter. Here are the details of this innovation.
The Jupiter 125 CNG is based on the previous generation and features:
Engine Type: 124.8-cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled bi-fuel engine
Power Output: 7.2 horsepower
Torque: 9.4 Nm of peak torque
Transmission: CVT automatic gearbox
Top Speed: Rated at 80.5 km/h
Fuel Capacity and Range
The scooter comes with:
Petrol Tank: 2-litre capacity
CNG Cylinder: 1.4 kg, placed under the seat
Combined Range: 226 kilometres in CNG and petrol modes.
Switching between CNG and petrol can be done easily with a button located on the switch box.
The Jupiter 125 CNG retains many features from its petrol counterpart, including:
Body: Metal-maxx body construction
Seat: Claimed to have the largest seat in the 125-cc category
Lighting: LED headlight
Charging Port: Mobile charging port available

While TVS has not disclosed an exact launch date for the Jupiter 125 CNG. However, according to sources, it could be market-ready by the end of 2025.
