Ducati Launches Hypermotard 698 Mono in India at INR 16.5 Lakh

Ducati India has introduced the new Hypermotard 698 Mono, priced at INR 16.5 lakh. This motorcycle features the powerful Superquadro Mono engine, known for being the world's most advanced single-cylinder road engine.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono boasts a compact and aggressive design typical of Ducati.

Key design elements include:

  • Double exhausts on the sides of the tail
  • Five-spoke alloy wheels with a 'Y' design
  • LED headlight with a double 'C' light profile
  • High and flat seat
  • High front mudguard
  • Sharp tail

Initially available in classic Ducati Red, the RVE version will arrive later this year. Bookings are open at all Ducati dealerships, and the bike will be on display at selected locations. Deliveries are expected by the end of July.

Ducati has equipped the Hypermotard 698 Mono with several state-of-the-art features to enhance rider safety and enjoyment:

  • ABS Cornering
  • Ducati Traction Control
  • Ducati Wheelie Control
  • Engine Brake Control
  • Ducati Power Launch

The 659cc single-cylinder engine of the Hypermotard 698 Mono produces 77.5hp at 9,750rpm and 63Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. It marks Ducati's return to single-cylinder motorcycles after nearly four decades, following their previous single-cylinder models produced from the 1950s to the 1970s.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is priced at INR 16.5 lakh, which is INR 50,000 more than the Hypermotard 950 RVE. The Hypermotard 950 RVE features a 937cc L-twin motor that delivers 114hp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm at 7,250rpm. Despite the differences in engine power, both models share a similar design language, incorporating supermoto styling with Ducati aesthetics.

Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India, highlights the engineering excellence of the Hypermotard 698 Mono, emphasizing its powerful performance and advanced technology. Ducati aims to continue launching innovative models in India, including the Hypermotard 698 Mono, which showcases the brand's commitment to high-performance motorcycles.
