Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India updates its Shine 125 for 2025, making it OBD2B-compliant with new features like a fully digital instrument cluster, eSP technology, an idling stop system, and a USB Type-C charging port.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is in plans to make its 2-wheelers OBD2B compliant with the upcoming stricter emission norms. The 2025 Shine 125 is the newest 2-wheeler from Honda to receive the OBD2B update along with multiple new features.

The 2025 Honda Shine 125 Just Launched & What's New In The Model

What’s new in the 2025 Shine?

The 2025 Honda Shine 125 incorporates a 123.94cc single-cylinder, PGM-Fi engine. The Shine 125 generates a power of 10.80 PS & a torque of 11 Nm. The bike features a 5-speed gearbox. Another interesting feature of the Shine 125 is eSP (Enhanced Smart Power), which is designed to improve both performance and fuel efficiency along with reducing friction to ensure smooth and vibration-free riding.

The other essential features in the Shine 125 include an idling stop system and a USB Type-C charging port. The Shine is also equipped with an AGC starter, which helps the bike start with zero noise and eliminates the engine jolt while starting the bike.

The Shine 125 also receives a fully digital instrument cluster, and the users can conveniently access important information like the gear position indicator, fuel indicator, real-time mileage, eco indicator, and a service due indicator. The fully digital instrument cluster also implements an auto-dimming function, which ensures clear visibility across day & night.

A new exterior design?

The 2025 Shine 125 yet remains the same as the outgoing model, but now the Shine 125 can be availed in a newer black colour scheme. The Shine 125 can now be purchased in 6 colour options: Pearl Ignus Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic, & Pearl Siren Blue.

While the outgoing model has an 80 mm rear tire, the new Shine 125 receives a wider 90 mm rear tire. The bike is built with a diamond-shaped frame and integrates telescopic forks at the front and a 5-step adjustable suspension in the rear. The braking system comprises a 240 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm rear drum for the disc variant. The drum variant utilises 130 mm front drum brakes. The Shine 125’s safety is enhanced with the combi-brake system with the equaliser.

The Shine 125’s variants & pricing

The Shine 125 can be availed in 2 variants, which are the drum and disc variants, respectively. The drum brake variant of the Shine 125 starts at ₹93,493, and the disc brake variant starts at ₹89,295. The Shine 125 will compete with models like the Super Splendour and Pulsar 125.
