*The 16th Auto Expo will take place in New Delhi next month, and Cummins Group India has announced that it would showcase its 'Destination Zero' decarbonization strategy and product line there.*zero carbon emission

The products will include electrolysers (for green hydrogen generation), hydrogen fuel cells, battery electric technology electric powertrain technology. They will be demonstrated through a fuel-agnostic platform, hydrogen ICE, natural gas engine, and new generation diesel.According to a press release from Cummins, the fuel-agnostic platform will give OEMs, fleet managers, and operators the flexibility to adopt low- and zero-carbon fuel based on infrastructure availability, needs of the transport operations, and while still maximising the economics of the transportation.

The hydrogen ICE and green hydrogen, which are both components of the fuel-agonistic platform, will produce no well-to-wheel CO2 emissions and offer options for medium- and heavy-duty trucks and buses.Notably, Cummins' Destination Zero goal is to reduce the effects of its products on greenhouse gases and air quality and reach net-zero emissions by 2050.

Accordingly, the group is pursuing a dual-path strategy, acting now to cut internal combustion engine emissions while investing in innovative, emission-free technologies.

Climate change is the current existential problem, according to Ashwath Ram, Managing Director of Cummins Group India, and it needs to be addressed immediately.

India has set an ambitious goal for itself: net zero by 2070. In order for the nation to achieve this aim, the commercial transportation industry must play a significant role, he continued.

"Cummins Group in India has always believed in offering the right technology that matters for our customers' success at the right time," said Anjali Pandey, Chief Operating Officer of Cummins Group India.

She continued by saying that the business is investing heavily in the development of market-ready, environmentally friendly powertrain solutions that would be produced in India for use throughout the world.

In order to minimise TCO and promote widespread adoption, Pandey continued, "Our strategy integrates a 'well-to-wheels' emissions reductions approach by matching technological readiness with infrastructure readiness."
