Performance

A 64.7kWh battery pack is expected to power the BMW iX1 and provide up to 439km of range on a single full charge. The two electric motors, one on each axle, are calibrated to deliver a combined output of 493Nm of torque and 313bhp.

A 1.5-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine with 136 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque is anticipated to be available with the new-generation BMW X1.

A 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine with 150 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque might also be available. The base transmission will be a seven-speed DCT.

Exterior

New front and rear bumpers, slimmer LED headlights, new LED DRLs, a wider kidney grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, updated LED tail lights, a curved display that houses the instrument cluster and infotainment system, and the most recent version of BMW's iDrive OS are all highlights of the 2023 BMW X1.

Interiors

The new X1's interior has also been improved with new extra amenities. It now has a new dashboard with an updated appearance that is dominated by a dual-screen, curved display. The driver display is 10.25 inches and the touchscreen infotainment system is 10.7 inches.

The forthcoming X1 will offer fresh upgrades to linked car technologies and ADAS features. Its feature list also includes a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Bluetooth Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

Rival

With SUVs like the Mercedes Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and Audi Q3, the new X1 will rekindle competition in the luxury segment. The iX1 will compete with the Kia EV6 and XC40 Recharge among electric cars priced at about 60 lakh rupees.
