The first edition of Joytown festival held this weekend at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. Three new BMW vehicles were launched at this event – The S1000RR superbike, the updated and electrified M340i and all new XM performance SUV - Three new BMWs were also launched at Delhi event.
In five BMW cars that are scheduled to be launched at the Mumbai and Bengaluru Joytown events, some launches are facelifts while others are BMW’s Top sellers. In the upcoming Auto Expo this method was not available which is why company chose to reach out to a more audience by organizing Joytown events.
The BMW festival will put BMW, Mini and Motorrad at display and showcase what these vehicles are offering to the customers. Joytown festival is more like a fun event that offers one to get the experience that involves car, bikes, music and food. This event not only offer passenger a seat drift experience in BMW’s M cars, some BMW stunts performance can also be expected from drivers along with the offer of getting first hand experience of Mini and BMW to the audiences.
If somebody missed the event organized at Delhi, can join The Fest of Mumbai on January 7 and 8, 2023 at the Bandra Kurla Complex and of Bangaluru on January 28 and 29, 2023, at Manpho Convention centre. New X1 is scheduled to be launched in Manpho Convention Centre. Entry tickets are available on Paytm. Listed below are the launches.
The seventh-gen 7 series is a giant leap forward for BMW. It is the most sumptuous, lavish and tech laden BMW ever. It is most likely to compete with the likes of S-class.Carmakers made sure to make it look sharp and edgy which is why they styled it with the long flat bonnet along with the bifurcated headllamps.
When it comes to interior, It has been reformed to make it look all new and fresh, to make lure the customers. Interior is loaded with entirely new textures, new shapes and styles. The illuminated strip of the dash reflects crystal like effect that catches the eye instantly. AC vents are concealed and new age materials are in a defined manner. At the rear, there is a touchscreen controls on rear door pads. A lot of loads of space and comfort are also provided on rear pads. The feature highlight of the seventh-gen 7 series, is the roof-mounted 31.3-inch, 8K 'cinema' screen which flips down by touching the button. Three engine options: 543hp, 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine (M760i);the 380hp, 3.0-litre inline-six petrol (740i); and 299hp, 3.0-litre inline-six diesel (730d) are going to be available for Indian markets.
The same CLAR architecture as the 7 series underpins the new i7 sedan electric 7 series. As an powertrain option, it is quite similar to the regular 7 BMW. The i7 recieves a a 101.7kWh battery and a range of 590-625km on the WLTP test cycle. The xDrive 60 spec, produces 544hp from twin electric EV.
Refreshed X7 has got new styling, new drive systems, an updated engine, and all-new interior. It also receives a split headlamp design and entirely redesigned nose. BMW’s new curved infotainment screen comprises a 14.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.Engines also got updates: The X7 refresh will get a 380hp, inline six-cylinder petrol engine, and the diesel uses a 352hp, inline six-cylinder diesel, by 40hp and 87hp, respectively. Both engines are also paired with 48V mild-hybrid tech and will get an electric boost of 12hp and 200Nm.
3 Series Gran Limo had started slowly but now it has become BMW’s bestsellers. The upgrade changed the BMW by giving it a new face and a new cabin, generated by electrified engines expected to be on the bill as well. It has styled bumper with a sharp cut, an all new protruding BMW kidney grille along with the new LED headlights with blue accents are distinguishing.
On the inside, the upgrade comprises of BMW’s curved display and a dash concealed by all new ‘leather’. The waterfall effect diffused mood lighting makes it appear high end upscale and as per the trend running in India, customers will more likely appreciate space in the rear and the masses of legroom. The all-new X1, one of BMWs bestsellers in India is scheduled to be launched at the Bengaluru Joytown event. The baby X5's design is more ‘squarish’ and ‘stand-up.’ It gets relatively a flatter bonnet, a taller grille and a rear which is more expatiate as well. The new X1 has become larger too at 4,500mm in length, and is also relatively longer than rivals like the Audi Q3 at 4,484mm. From the earlier UKL,under the new X1 (codename U11) is BMW and Mini’s front wheel drive FAAR platform, which got updated and enhanced in a significant manner. The platform is a full EV which is modular. It is high end and upmarket . Cabin gets enhanced quality materials with an open design. When it comes to appearance, frameless curved display is making the look of the cabin attractive and with chrome framed vents, sloping dash has its own character.The cabin has the ‘floating’ centre armrest from the iX EV, and there’s more space and legroom in the rear. For churning the more space one can slide the second row forward and back. Boot space gets a useful 500 litres.
