Honda has launched the new 2025 Elite 125 in Brazil, priced at 12,966 Brazilian Real (approximately Rs. 2.11 lakh based on current exchange rates). The 2025 Honda Elite 125, similar to the Honda Dio 125, is available in a single variant and comes in four color options: Ross White, Lumiar Silver Metallic, Maceio Red, and Mystery Blue Metallic.
Introduction
The Honda Dio 125 is a youthful and sporty scooter that offers a peppy performance, good fuel efficiency, and attractive features. It is powered by a 123.92 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.16 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque. The engine also features Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, Honda ACG starter, and an idling stop system for smooth and silent operation .
Variant and Color
It comes in three variants - Standard, Smart, and Repsol Edition. The Standard variant gets an LED headlight, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, integrated headlamp beam and passing switch, and a combined braking system. The Smart variant adds H-Smart technology that includes smart find, keyless start, and security features.
The Repsol Edition gets a special livery inspired by Honda's MotoGP team. The colour options are Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Sports Red, and Repsol Edition .
Engine and Power
Dio 125 is equipped with a 123.92 cc air-cooled engine that complies with the BS6 emission norms. The engine delivers a maximum power of 8.16 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.4 Nm at 5000 rpm. The engine also has eSP technology that reduces friction and improves combustion efficiency. The Honda ACG starter ensures a quick and quiet start without using a conventional starter motor .
Fuel Efficiency and Tank Capacity
The Honda Dio 125 has a user reported mileage of 48 kmpl, which is quite impressive for a 125 cc scooter. The fuel tank capacity is 5.3 litres, which gives a decent range of around 250 km on a full tank. The idling stop system also helps in saving fuel by automatically switching off the engine when the scooter is idle for more than three seconds .
Features and Boot Capacity
It boasts of several features that enhance the convenience and comfort of the rider and the pillion. Some of the notable features are LED headlight, digital instrument cluster, external fuel lid, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, integrated headlamp beam and passing switch, combined braking system, smart key system with smart find, keyless start, and security functions (Smart variant only), and Repsol Edition graphics (Repsol Edition only). The boot capacity of the Honda Dio 125 is 18 litres, which can accommodate a full-face helmet or other essentials.
Wheel Size and Weight
This Scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, which are shod with tubeless tyres. The wheel size enhances the stability and handling of the scooter on different road conditions. The weight of the Honda Dio 125 is 104 kg (kerb), which makes it easy to maneuver in traffic and park in tight spaces.
