Introduction
The Cooper SE is the first electric model from the legendary brand MINI. Being a 3 door hatchback, it comes across as a compact yet the most premium hatchback currently available in the Indian market.
Exterior & Design
The Copper SE carries the iconic silhouette of the MINI brand and comes equipped with a number of unique design elements.
In the front, it gets a closed upper grille with the air dam lower down the bumper. The iconic round shaped headlamp assembly get DRLs & indicators integrated into the ring around the main LED lamp. The bumper come with side mounted vertical air curtain to aid aero dynamics.
From the side, it looks similar to the Cooper S 3 door hatch. However, being an all electric MINI, it gets unique looking side scuttles with integrated LED turn indicators and the S badging. The 17 inch alloys also gets a quirky and asymmetric design with aero inserts. Moreover, the door mounted ORVMs also add a unique touch to its side profile.
In the rear, the Cooper SE comes with the union jack design taillamps and black cladding lower down the bumper.
Interior & Features
Inside the cabin the Cooper SE gets the MINI signature round element design. Some of these round elements include the touchscreen assembly, the interior door handles, the speakers, air vents, etc.
Coming to the equipment list, it gets a 5 inch fully digital drivers display, an 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation & Apple car play, Harman Kardon audio setup, ambient lighting, electric parking brake with auto hold, dual zone auto climate control AC, front seats with lumbar support, etc.
Battery & Motor
MINI Cooper SE comes packed with a 32.6 kWh battery pack and a front mounted single electric motor setup. The electric motor can produce 186.5 PS of power and 270 Nm of torque, propelling this hatch from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.
Driving Range & Charging
MINI claims a full charge driving range of 270 km. On the charging front, the Cooper SE supports up to 50 kW DC fast charging and up to 11 kW AC fast charging.
Variants & Colours
Customers can choose from 5 different colours i.e. Island Blue Metallic, Nanuq White, Melting Silver III, British Racing Green IV Metallic and Midnight Black II Metallic.

Being the first all electric MINI, the Cooper SE competes with other EVs like Volvo XC40 Recharge, Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Seal, etc.
