Yezdi will be in India soon, parting ways with Jawa motorcycle
Yezdi Motorcycles, The Classic Legends is all set to revive yet another iconic two-wheeler brand in India. The first Yezdi bike is supposed to debut on November 15, Reports.
Classic Legends co-founder Anupam Thareja recently tweeted, 'Diwali got over, but I've still got one cracker left. Any guesses?' Later, a few more tweets followed from the Jawa motorcycle social media handle and a teaser from Yezdi's official account.
The bike will likely follow in Jawa's launch footsteps from back in 2018. That is, unveil the models and pricing and commence sales later.
Also, Yezdi on Wednesday announced it will not be a part of the Jawa Motorcycle and the brand will operate on its own, said Jawa Motorcycles in a Twitter post.
Anupam Thareja, Co-Founder, Classic Legends, recently tweeted that “About time we brought the other brother back.
Talking about the Yezdi, We expect the Yezdi Scrambler to be priced at around Rs 1.75 lakh and the ADV at Rs 1.90 - Rs 2 lakh (both ex-showroom). The former will rival the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250, while the ADV will square off against the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Yezdi ADV will compete directly against the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan adventure bike and is also likely to be priced in the same segment as well.
Yezdi adventure bike will reportedly use the same 334cc engine from the Jawa Perak that produces close to 30 hp of power and 32 Nm of torque.
