Volvo is about to unveil its premium SUV Volvo XC90, a hybrid ev. It was announced in a teaser where the global debut date of September 4th is confirmed. This car will be available in hybrid powertrain that shows Volvo is focusing on hybrid technology as they were making electric ones. Well it’s quite reasonable to shift their focus towards hybrids as the sales in western countries are increasing while electric sales are going down.
Although the details on its specifications and designs have not been revealed yet. But it is expected that it would carry the same design as the Volvo EX90 Electric. Many people think that OEMs cannot sustain the EV market even in countries like the US and China Hybrid sales are going up.
On this, CEO Jim Rowan has stated that people are not able to embrace EVs yet and it will take time to adapt them, so in the meanwhile we can go for the Hybrid powertrain of other ICE models.
